WHEN SHE WAS A YOUNG GIRL,Petunia Dursley hated magic. She despised the word and hated everything that had to do with it. How could she not? After all,the day that she and Lily discovered magic was the day their bond broke. She was jealous,Petunia honestly admitted to herself. After all,how couldn't she be jealous if Lily was able to do many extraordinary things with her gift. Her little sister was beautiful and intelligent, having magic made her even more valuable.

But what was she? Lily was extraordinary..But Petunia? She was ordinary. As ordinary as they come.

She wasn't the prettiest nor the smartest meaning that she would never be as valuable as Lily. So of course she was jealous,Lily had everything. It did not help that the Snape boy had treated her badly when he discovered that only Lily possesed magic.Nor did it help that Lily never defended her against him. Petunia was hurt, yes, yet at the same time all she wanted was to be as special as Lily. Because if she was, then she would be praised by her parents, make new friends,be able to create extraordinary things with her magic, and most important of all..Lily would love her again.

But Petunia wasn't special.

She didn't have magic.

She was all alone.

So that was when she decided,at the age of 13,that she hated magic. She hated everything that had to do with the magical world...but she could never hate Lily. She could hate that awful Snape boy for introducing Lily to magic and she could hate that awful letter which took her away, but no matter how much she tried she could never hate Lily. Not her Little flower. Her little sister would always hold a special place in her heart.

She tried to contact her sister again, she truly did. She had once even sent a letter to appologize for being a jealous brat and to tell her she no longer hated magic. But one thing went to another and the sisters never saw each other again after their parents died.

Then Lily died and Petunia's heart broke. Her darling little sister was dead. The little sibling she so desperately asked for as a child was gone. While yes,as children Petunia often times thought Lily was annoying,in the end they would patch up and continue playing with dolls. And yes, they may have ended in bad terms with both girls saying things they didn't really mean, but Petunia loved her sister.

And she loved the last two renaming gifts Lily left her.

Flora and Harry Potter were the only things that kept her alive. They were her life saviours and her light in the darkness. Without them, she truly wouldn't know where she would be.

Looking at the young boy and girl laying down inside their cupboard, the only place Vernon let them stay,Petunia couldn't help but smile slightly at them. Oh how she loved them. How could she not love them after taking care of them as if they were her own for almost eleven years.

Eleven years. They would soon turn eleven.

Their letter would arrive soon.

She would soon have to tell them the whole truth about magic.

They would soon leave for Hogwarts.

She would soon be alone again.

Flora looked at her Aunt and noticed the look on her face, the same one she would get whenever she was thinking of something,"What are you thinking about,Aunt Tuney?"

Petunia snapped out of her thoughts and smiled softly at her,"Oh nothing sweetheart,i'm just a bit tired..Tomorrow will be a long day."The three of them knew that tomorrow was not going to be a good day, after all,it was Dudley's birthday. This meant that Harry would be getting picked on by the birthday boy,Petunia would have to put up with Vernon's mistress, and Flora would have to try and not stab her uncle or cousin.

"But,at least we're going to the zoo..right?",Harry told the woman in a hopeful voice. He had never gone to the zoo,Uncle Vernon would never allow it. And if Aunt Petunia tried to object to the unfair treatment and stay with the twins,Vernon would end up forcing her out of the house. No matter what,Vernon would always win. He would always win because if they left they would have nothing. Who would hire a single mother of two whom had no university degree?

"You are.",Petunia smiled at him a bit bitterly as she remembered the unfair treatment Vernon gave the twins. Oh how she wished they could just leave and never come back. But they couldn't,Vernon would never sign divorce papers nor did she have anywhere to go. The woman stood up from where she sat,"Now,sleep well my little flowers, you'll need the energy for tomorrow."

Before Petunia could close the door,Flora spoke once more,"Are you alright Aunt Tuney?"

The blonde woman looked at her niece,"Of course I am,my love. Now..go to sleep. And Harry, try not to kick your sister during the night."

"I don't kick her!"

Flora elbowed him,"Shut up. You're going to wake Vernon up."

"Sorry.",Harry muttered before looking at her,"But we both know I don't kick in my sleep."

"You are aware we sleep next to each other, right?",Flora raised an eyebrow,"You kick and you snore."

"I don't snore!",Harry winced at the glare his sister sent him for yelling. Then he whispered,"I don't snore!"

"You do. And you kick too."

Petunia chuckled before closing the cupboard door. No,she was definitely not ready to go of them yet.
