"mom! nathan and i are going to the summerhills" alex blurted out and took a sip of water

"oh okay, jackie are you going to?" katherine asked as jackie came running down the stairs

"um no i have food drive deliveries with erin" jackie looked at her as she put on her coat and walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast

"wait jackie! i wanna come" i ate my food faster

"hey isaac, you might want to get a warmer jacket. 80% of snow today" george called out

"sometimes you have to sacrifice comfort for style, like this jacket says tough, smooth, chill. you getting it?" isaac raised his eye brows

"frostbite also says tough, smooth, chill. you getting it?" george teased

i grabbed my jacket and ran out with jackie as the thanksgiving giving festivities continued inside the house.

jackie and i hopped in erins car, i sat in the back.

"this is my sister evelyn, she wanted to come" jackie gestured to me

erin looked back and smiled.

the car ride was quiet, erin didn't seem allll that bad. other than the fact that shes had cole's tongue down her throat.

when we got to the first house we all started to get up when erin stopped jackie "wait um... what's the deal with you and cole?"

"so that's why you wanted to help? so you could corner me?" jackie furrowed her brow

"no! its just.. at the cabin i thought.."

"absolutely nothing." jackie said firmly, "whats the deal with you and cole. sorry, you don't have to tell me"

"it's not nothing, but it's not something, does that make sense?"

jackie and i nodded

"we've known each other forever, it's complicated"

"does it have to be?" jackie asked "i mean you're..." she was about to say something but then stopped herself. "none of my business" the three of us got out of the car and around to the back where the bags were in the trunk.

"im what? what were you going to say?" erin interrogated

"you remind me of my sister, lucy" jackie turned to her

"what??"

"sister?"

"you're cool and smart and pretty... don't you think you're worth more than being another girl in coles lineup" jackie smiled

"cole doesn't do the girlfriend thing." erin mumbled, she looked sad

"that's his problem" i shook my head, they both turned to me "we know 100 guys in new york that would fight to the death to be your boyfriend"
