SIDE STORY (Gammer boy)

He could see how Mingyu looked at other boys, the lack of effort in their relationship, and the constant excuses to avoid spending time with him. He was hurt and confused. Why would Mingyu stay in a relationship if he did not love Joshua back? As the days went by, Joshua's insecurities began to consume him. He became paranoid and constantly questioned Mingyu's love for him. Every action or word from Mingyu was analyzed, searching for a hidden meaning. But no matter how hard he tried, he could not shake the feeling that he was just an option to Mingyu.

Meanwhile, Mingyu tried his best to keep Joshua interested. He knew how much Joshua loved him and did not want to lose him. He showered him with expensive gifts, took him on extravagant dates, and complimented him constantly. But deep down, he knew he was just going through the motions. He did not have the same intense feelings for Joshua as Joshua had for him. One day, Mingyu's true feelings came to light when Joshua overheard him discussing with a friend how he was just being kind and didn't want to hurt him.]

Gyu:

Yeah i know. But you know i can't break his heart. He is always so sweet and caring that i couldn't dare to say this to him.

[Mingyu was talking to someone on his mobile he didn't knew that Joshua is home he thought he is out with his friends. Joshua stop on his track when he hear Mingyu talking to someone.]

Joshua:

Who is he talking about?

Gyu:

Some days ago he was asking me whether i love him or not. I just told him that i like him. Come on man i don't want to hurt him. He was always being nothing but sweet to me. I didn't dare to tell him the truth.

Joshua: Is he talking about me?

Gyu:

Joshua is quite sensitive about our relationship. Everytime i think about breaking up his smile stop me. He was always there for me i don't know how to confront him about it. I don't want to hurt him anymore. It feels like i am using him.

[Mingyu said in frustration and sit on the couch. Although he didn't have the same feelings for Joshua, he didn't want to cause him any pain. Feeling humiliated and heartbroken Joshua silently rush out of the house. He was in pain he didn't want to confront Mingyu right now.

He decided to stay distant from Mingyu so he can think things through. Joshua's friends noticed a change in his behavior, seeing the toll of his unrequited love. They attempted to talk to him and help him understand that he deserved someone who loved him completely. However, Joshua was blinded by his love for Mingyu and couldn't fathom a life without him.]

Dokyeom:

What is going on? You seems lost for some days. Is everything okay betwen you and your boyfriend?

[Joshua's brother said but he lay on the couch sighing looking at the celeing. He is at his parents home from some days and barely get out of his room. He didn't even talk to Mingyu since the day he heard him talking about him. Dokyeom faintly smile knowing very well what his deep sigh means.]

Dokyeom:

What happened?

Joshua:

He don't love me. He is just being nice to me because he didn't want to hurt my feelings. It is not like i didn't understand it. I always have this feeling that he is just forcing himself but then i thought he might eventually fall in love with me. But now i realize that you can't make someone fall in love with you by staying with them all the time.

[Dokyeom sigh and pet on Joshua's head.]

Dokyeom:

Sometimes letting go is the best and only choice. One sided efforts are like a rope. The more tightly you hold onto it the more badly it will hurt you and if you didn't let it go when it is necessary then your hands might start bleeding.
