It's been a week now I had my talk with Ace, I am happy that he is supporting me and keeping Steve away from me and he has also instructed the others to do so.
I have learnt all the syllabus that I have missed and that I am supposed to be learning this year, I have been learning a few languages in the library.
I have been in the library all day studying and learning things that I have not been able to these past years, I have only been out of the library to sleep and to eat.
Now I am lying on Noah's bed staring at the ceiling while he is in the bathroom doing his thing.
Five minutes later Noah comes in and lays down beside me silently he kisses my forehead.
"Goodnight, Sweet dreams bambina" he says
"Good night Noah" I smile at him closing my eyes
*flashback: when Alice was 7*
I was sitting in the corner of the alley all bruised and hoping to see Santiago as he has helped me last time.
Will he change like my parents changed?
Will he come here, may be he wont be coming I am no one to him why will he help me.
"Sweetheart" I hear a low voice at the end of the alley making a small sob escape my mouth.
He comes closer to me and kneels down carressing my cheek.
"Hey sweetheart" he says
It makes me breakdown and I hug him saying a quiet "hi"
"You are fine sweetheart. I will help you come on let's get you treated" he says
"I- I thought you wont come and will change just like everyone." I say
"No baby I would never leave you or change, I will always be there for you." he says
"Promise?" I ask him still crying in his arms
He pulls away "Yes sweetheart I promise" I smile at him and hug him back.
He tries to pull away from me but I don't leave him trying to hug him tighter.
"Sweetheart? let's treat your wounds please" he says
I shake my head "I don't want to leave you "
He sighs "ok fine" And stands up lifting me up with him.
"Will you always be there with me forever?" I ask him
"I have been waiting to meet you here for the past two weeks here sweetheart but I also hoped not to see you hurt" he says
"I was locked me in dark room I am sorry"
"No you don't have to say sorry sweetheart,... let's just clean up your wounds at my home like last time okay?" I nod and lay my head on his shoulder.
In 5 minutes we reach his home, he puts me down and opens the door leading me into his home and making me sit on his couch.
"sit here I'll be back in a minute" he says
I look around and find it empty except for this couch there is nothing in this room but still I find it beautiful.
"Sweetheart can I see your hands." he says. I hesitate for a sec and look at him he give me an encouraging nod I push my hoodie's long sleeve up to my elbow exposing a large cut caused by a glass bottle.
Santiago takes my hand into his left hand delicately and starts cleaning my wound.
"Can you please tell me how this happened sweetheart?" he asks
I shake my head "no"
"If you don't tell me I can't help you be safe Alice I want you to be safe I don't like to see you like this " he says and continues bandaging my
"mom threw a glass bottle" I whisper
"where is you your father is he not saving you from your mother?" he asks
"No he sent me to my mom" I say
"ok done" he says leaving my hand in my lap and lifts my face cleaning my cheek
"Why is she doing this to you?" he whispers
"Because she doesn't like me" I say
"Do you want to leave your mother and come here and stay with me?" he asks
"No I know she doesn't like me but she is my mother I want to be with her. I wish she will love me like she used to love me before leaving papa's home" I say
"she will sweetheart. Now I will show you how to treat your self if you are injured" he says
He teaches me how to bandage and I find it easy and learn it quickly
"You are a fast learner" he smiles " do you want to do anything now?" he asks
"no I have to go home now or mom will be angry" I say
"ok" he smiles at me "I will drop you come on"
"ok but leave before mom sees you or she would be... sad" I say
He nods
*change of scene*
"sweetheart please don't run around you are injured " he says
"no I don't want to, if I stop you will give me those bad medicines" I say and run around in his house
He sighs and sits on his sofa " Fine"
"If you don't have the medicines then I won't talk to you " he adds
I stop running. Nooo
"no please I will have all the medicines please don't be upset San" I say
he ignores me "San pleaseeee I promise I will listen to you " I say
"Okay fine then have your medicines first" he says handing me the pills and a glass of water
I gulp down the bitter pills by the help of water and he smiles at me. I sigh
"Please don't be upset with me San you are the only person who likes me now I don't wanna loose you too" I whisper
"No sweetheart. I promise I will always be there with you" he says
*scene change*
"fine I wont come from tomorrow to drop you at your mother's home but you should memorise the way to my house from there ok?" San asks
"ok San"
"drink this up first and let me teach you how to stitch a cut" he says
A few minutes later he shows me and I have successfully learned how to do it.
"San can I ask you something?"
"Yes sweetheart "
"Can you teach me what you do on your laptop?" I ask giving him a pleading look
"Are you sure you want to learn sweetheart?" he asks. I nod
"By the way it is called hacking" he says
"I will do hacking and earn some money with you" I beam at him
he pats my head "Yes you will but now you have to head home"
