A stream of light peers through my curtains causing me to wake. I can hear Phil in the kitchen doing whatever. I slowly get it of bed and join Phil. "Hey" I say while getting my cereal.
"Hey Dan, sleep good?" Phil asked
"Meh, alright" I replied.
There was a moment of silence. It seemed like both of us were trying to avoid what happened. I wanted to talk to him about it but there's something inside me that screamed danger. It's probably the fear of freaking him out or losing him. "Phil..." I say in a sincere tone.
"Yeah..." Phil replied seeming nervous.
"Stop eating my cereal!" I say trying to hold in a laugh.
"I didn't!" Phil shouted while laughing.
I just look at Phil trying not to laugh but failing badly.
Silence fills the room once again leaving the atmosphere awkward and uncomfortable. I take my cereal and go to the living room. A few minutes later Phil joins me in the couch. It is so quite. I can hear his paced breathing. I look over at him and see him sitting there awkwardly watching Something on TV. He catches my eye while I'm looking at him. He smiles and I can't help but smile back. Our eyes never leave each others. We both slowly lean into each other but we both realise what's happening and break away from the stare. "Sorry" Phil says awkwardly then leaving the room.
