A little lie

Hailey pov

It had been around 2 weeks since me and Jake have been dating and only Sean knew it had been pretty nice, Jake has taken me to many dates which I had to lie to Zander and my parents I think they are catching on but I hope not. I mean I guess it would be weird for me to
suddenly start leaving the house loads for walks, random grocery runs and more-

Jakes good at hiding it and so is Sean however I do see him grinning and staring at me and Jake alot.

I grab my bag I head for the door "going for a walk!" I yell "okay! How long?" Shannon yells "uhh maybe 1-2hrs?" I yell back "WHAT HAILEY-" I hear her yell as I make a run for the door.

Today me and Jake would go and get bubble tea then go play mini golf

"hey princess!" Jailey beems as he walks up to my on the path a kisses my cheek "hey Jake!" I smile "what drink are you getting?" Jake asks me as we approach the bubble tea shops door "hm probably just my usual" I say opening the door and walking in "okay have a seat I'll order!" Jake says in his normal happy voice. DING! My phone goes "huh?" I say as I take my phone and look at it.

MILLY

Milly: HI HAILEY DO YOU WANNA HANG?

Oh crap- "here you go hails!" Jake says as he passes me my drink "look" I say showing him my phone "oh uhh-" Jake says scratching the back of his neck "what should I say? I ask Jake "maybe u can say ur busy at the shops?" Jake says "ooh good one" I say typing in my phone

Hailey: oh! Sorry mills I'm at the shops, a little busy ahaha

Milly: oooh fun!! What if I join you?

"Uh oh-" Jake says watching my phone

Milly: pleaseeee haileyyyy Im so bored

I look back at Jake who shruggs "I guess we are going shopping now" I sigh "okay but how are we gonna answer when Milly asks why I'm here?"
Jake asks I sigh "um.. Oh! I know how about I walk around the shop with Milly and then (quote) accidentally bump into you and we hang out all together?" I say proudly of my idea "uh we could try-" Jake says kicking the floor

Hailey: sure! Uh meet me at ****

Milly: okay! Cya

"Okay let's run to the shops now!" I say taking jakes hand and running off.

(WHAT ABOUT THE BUBBLE TEA HAILEYYYYY)

"Okay so I'll be here and you go stand at that store and I'll bump into you okay?" I say waving Jake off "alright!" He says running to the other side.

"HAILEYYYYYY" I hear a voice yell and then hug me from behind I turn around to see Milly "hey mils!" I say "I need something from that store so let's go there first" I say pointing at the shop where Jake was standing next to "WAIT THATS JAKE!!" Milly yells excitedly and running up to Jake "oh hey guys!" Jake says waving as me and Milly run up to him "oh wow wasn't expecting to see you here" I say doing a fake laugh. Jake gives me a little smile and a wink as us three walk around the store.

Ohhh makes sence Hailey had to go get her man from that store..makes sence..

*gasp* "GUYS! THERES A CANDY STORE!!!" Milly tells dragging me and Jake over "AAA-" Jake yells. Milly runs in the shop Like a Little Child while me and Jake just laugh.

Me and Jake walk over to another part of the store where Milly probably couldn't hear us "so when are we telling her?" Jake says picking up a bag of practically pure sugar "I donno.. I wanna keep this as a secret for a bit longer..." I say fiddling with my hair "Hailey.. it's going to be okay" Jake says bending down and kiss my cheek. I do a little smile "oh and- don't eat that it's just pure sugar" I say doing a little laugh taking the candy out his hand.

"HAILEYY JAKEE" a pink haired girl yells from behind us "OH UH! Hi Milly" I say quickly turning around to face her "uhh you two alright?" Milly asks a little concerned "YEP- haha" Jake says doing the worst fake laugh I ever heard "okay... well could one of u buy this for meee I only have like $5 in my piggy bank"  Milly asks "sure I'll pay" I say grabbing my wallet "no no hails don't worry I got it" Jake says quickly dragging Milly to the register and paying "oh my god-" I say with a little chuckle.

"Thanks for paying Jake!" Milly says while eagerly opening her packet of goodies "no problem mils" Jake says smiling "oh I need to grab something from that store!" Milly says looking back at me and Jake "yeah sure! We'll wait here!" Jake says watching as Milly nods then runs into the shop. Me and Jake sit down at a bench.

"Thanks for paying" I say smiling at Jake "of coarse!" He says smiling at me "I sorta wanted to play golf today.." I says sighing "yeah same but I mean this isn't that bad and hey, I'll take u another day!" Jake says taking my hand and squeezing it "aw thank you" I smile as I peck his cheek.

"OKAY! WE CAN GO!" A pink haired yells "oh uh-" I say quickly letting go of jakes hand "okay got what u needed?" Jake asks getting up "mmh! DING! my phone goes "oh wait hold up guys I say taking my phone out my pocket "who is it?" Milly asks poking her head to see "oh it's Zander" I say reading the message "are u coming home from your walk soon?" The message read "huh? I thought u were just at the shops?" Milly asks confused "oh uh!" I say giving a glance at Jake "well I was going to go on a walk but I decided to go to the shops! Ahaha.." I say quickly "oh alright well can we go to Stacy's mama Mia pizza!" Milly asks us "ooh yes!!" Jake says running of with Milly

"Okay let's sit here!" Jake says plopping down on a seat "alright I ordered so we'll just wait for now" I say sitting next to Jake and across Milly *gasp* " you sat next to Jake instead of you best friend?" Milly says in a silly voice "haha very funny" Jake says rolling his eyes

"Aw! You guys are the cutest couple! I've seen you two around town!" The waiter says walking to our table and stopping to give us our pizza "what?" Milly says shooting glances at me and Jake "oh ahaha..I don't know what your talking about!" I say panicked "aw common I see you at the bubble tea shop down the road like all the time!" She says placing down the tray of the pizza "um- I'm not dating her she's just my friend" Jake says in a surprisingly convincing voice "huh..I guess maybe it was people who looked like you.." she says as she smiles and walks away "you two are dating?!" Milly yells excitedly "what no! Milly I'm not dating him!" I say blushing "yeah sure.." Milly says grabbing a slice of pizza

After shopping and stuff :>

"My dad will be here soon so you two can head off" milly says waving and smiling "okay be safe milly bye!" I say waving.

"Wow we almost got caught-" Jake says laughing "yeah..how did that lady know us!" I says sighing "I mean we do go to that bubble tea shop like every day" the peach haired boy smiles. I laugh as Jake just looks at me and smiles "haha what?" I say looking up at him confused (yes looking up Hailey is shorter then Jake 🤭) "oh nothing your laugh is just cute tho" Jake says still smiling at me "aw..Jake" I say taking his hand.

"Okay well we're here now bye hails!" Jake says quickly kissing my cheek as I walk inside.

"DID JAKE JUST KISS YOU?!" I hear Zander scream as soon as I walk through the door "WHAT NO ZANDER?!" I say worried "he was just um..whispering something in my ear!" I say quickly thinking of a solution "...ok.." Zander says turning around and walking to his room "oh god.." I says to my self as I walk up stairs to my room.
