The first Colonists in this country came here to escape the religious persecution of the church of England. To worship as they saw fit, not to be
told that they have to worship the way that a government or religious group says they should worship. As this nation grew we came to realize as a society we have the right to worship and live our lives, the way we see fit, not at the whim of another's by or leave.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."(2)
This means everyone, all are created equal, and have the unalienable right to be free of persecution no matter their Race, Creed, Color religious beliefs. The right to live a happy and prosperous life and not to be told and who they can or cannot love, and to be who they want to be. If this does not fit your Ideology then so be it. One of the principals this country was founded on was the ability to agree to disagree.
"And the confidence that freedom cannot be taken away from us
That is our God Given Right. I for one am willing to fight for it, and die for it " (1)
These freedoms are being eroded by the voices of the few who say the represent the many.
It is the right of every woman man and child in this country to live without the fear of being terrorized. or live under the yoke of tyranny. Whether it is Political, Religious, Racial or Gender related, this is contrary.to the fact that this country was built on the diverse history of all peoples.
I am willing to fight for the freedom not to live in terror or under the yoke of tyranny.
I am willing to die for a fair and equal chance, to live our lives, the way that we see fit.
"That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed" (2)
Good bad or indifferent it is We The People who decide what laws and rights we should or should not have and be governed under. Not the body of the government. Those rights and laws should be fair, just and for all peoples of this nation regardless of Race, Creed, Color religious beliefs.
"Accordingly, all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed" (2)
When a political party aligns itself with organized religion and uses that organization to effect laws and rights in the negative or positive, it has violated the separation of church and state. By doing so they have allowed the rule, and equal justice under law to become null and void. Religious sects may have opinions, on laws and rights, but to influence such laws and rights is a slant to imperialism. When a political party uses a religious organization to influence such laws and rights, it is leaning towards Authoritarianism and Despotism.
There has been a long train of abuses by the voices of the few who say the represent the many. Usurpations to undermine the voices of We The People, to destroy this experiment in Democracy. We cannot let this stand!
