Hello everyone! and thank you so much for clicking on "The Invisible String"!
This is my second story on this platform, and just to clarify, it is completely separate from my first one. As English is not my first language, I'd really appreciate it if you point out any grammatical errors or other mistakes I may have made.
For everyone who wants a visual of how I personally pictured the characters, with Luke I continuously pictured Tom Welling (In his prime of course, and were talking season one of smallville here guys" and with Eleia I pictured Madelyn Francesca.
I'd also like to share a few things for context. I've never been to the USA, so I'm not entirely familiar with how things work there, but I'm doing my best to create a realistic and "homey" setting. Regarding the school in this story, I've created Ashford College after how "Gymnasiet" functions in Denmark, though I've made several adjustments to fit the story.
Just to clarify: students begin at 16, the school lasts three years, and students do not live on campus. In a way, it's a mix of college and high school. Additionally, the MC is a year younger than her classmates.
also! A lot of things will be made up! such as street names and cafés and restaurants.
Pronunciation:
Eleia: E - lie - ah
Haart: Heart
Waltz: Wall - ts

There's also a few warnings things I'd like to add before you continue reading!
1) The love interest can come off as an asshole in the start but trust he has a heart of gold.
2) This story has a mature warning due to harsh topics and foul language, there is also spice and smut in the story though it is not detailed and won't happen more than necessary.
3) The main character tends to blab about a lot of things and her inner dialog can become long at times.
4) The height difference between the two main characters is quite a bit but yeah, don't worry it won't be one of those stories where "how small she is" is mentioned a million times!
5) Please, please, please! refrain yourself from leaving hateful or hurtful comments, If you don't agree with something or if you don't like the story you can easily just click off, it takes time and a lot of effort to write and make a story like this, even if you think its bad there's no need to be rude!
6) RR's (Rereader's) please do not spoil things or hint at future events that might happen in the book, it ruins the fun for first time readers! even if someone asks for a spoiler please don't!
I hope you will give the story a chance, who knows you might love it!

-Description-
Following her mother's sudden death, Eleia's world is turned upside down as she's forced to leave everything she's ever known and move across the country to live with her father.
Starting over at Ashford College, Eleia's gentle soul, striking beauty and kindness, are qualities that make her stand out in a crowd despite the sadness that lingers in her heart.
When Eleia crosses paths with Luke Waltz, the world-famous football star known for his icy demeanor and his talent for football.
Though he seems cold and distant, Eleia sees beyond his walls, discovering a heart capable of profound kindness.Together, they embark on a journey of vulnerability and trust, discovering that sometimes love can heal those who don't even notice their broken.---"Why does it feel like I've known you forever?" I lean against his broad, strong shoulder. "Because maybe, in some way, we were always meant to find each other." He lays his head on top of mine.
