wails came from ivy's nursery upstairs, from the living room, where taylor and travis were sitting.
"ill go grab her" taylor whispered, pushing herself up from the couch and walking up the stairs, towards ivy's nursery.
"hey, hey sweet girl" taylor cooed, as she flipped on the lights in the room, and walked over to the crib.
"hey, honey" taylor picked up the baby, and rubbed her back rocking her in her arms.
the wails turned into tiny sobs, and the tears were still falling.
"oh, sweet girl" taylor cooed, laying ivy down on the changing table, and unbuttoning the babies onesie.
taylor quickly changed the nappy, and changed her into a different onesie, feeling how warm her baby felt.
"oh, honey, you're so warm" taylor cooed, rubbing ivy's small stomach, as ivy whined kicking her legs.
"i know, i know" taylor kept her hand on ivy's stomach as she searched the drawers for the thermometer. taylor placed the thermometer on ivy's forehead, and waited until it beeped.
"i know, sweet girl. just a moment" taylor sighed as she saw the numbers. 38.2°c ( 100.76°f )
"you're not feeling well, huh baby?" taylor cooed, zipping up the new onesie, and picking her daughter up.
taylor walked downstairs, bouncing ivy gently in her arm.
"trav, i think she's got a cold" taylor whispered, as she sat down next to travis.
"oh, poor baby" travis took ivy from taylor's arms letting taylor grab a bottle from the kitchen and warm it up in the bottle warmer.
taylor sat down and pulled the nursing pillow into her arms and travis gave ivy back to taylor.
taylor swiped the bottle over ivy's lips, trying to get her to latch on, yet she wouldn't.
"c'mon, baby, take the bottle" taylor whined, frustrated with herself, travis took the bottle from taylor.
"let me try, baby" travis cooed, pulling ivy into his arms and squeezing a little milk onto ivy's lips, as she looked up to travis with her big eyes, filing with tears.
"oh, no, no don't cry, sweet girl" travis put down the bottle on the coffee table in front of him, and lifted ivy onto his chest, rubbing her back and rocking her gently.
"sweet girl, it's okay, you're okay" travis cooed, standing up and bouncing her in his arms.
loud wails filled the room, as ivy cried and whined.
"sweet girl" taylor cooed, standing next to travis.
"you're okay, calm down" travis smiled, kissing ivy's head, and bouncing her slightly.
ivy calmed down, her sobs turning into whines.
"i know, sweet girl, i know" travis smiled.
"she has a fever of 38.2" taylor sighed, worry coursing through her body.
"oh, poor girl, should we take her to the doctor?" travis asked, sitting back down on the couch, as ivy snuggled her head into his shoulder, rubbing her nose into his shoulder.
"maybe, if her fever gets worse" taylor speaks, travis nodded, agreeing with taylor.
"oh! lemme go grab something" taylor rushed off leaving travis confused, leaning back, with a now grumpy baby.
"okay, i found it, lay her down on the sofa" taylor breathed in, pushing the pillows off the couch.
travis placed ivy on the white couch, her legs kicking, as taylor pulled out a nasal aspriater, gently putting it up ivy's nose and pressing a button, making it suck out all the boogers.
ivy's legs kicked against taylors lower stomach gently, as she moved in confusion.
taylor finished up, and travis picked ivy back up again.
"oh, does that feel better?" travis cooed, lifting ivy up into the air, getting a small giggle from ivy's lips.
"i bet it does!" taylor cooed, tickling ivy's stomach.
ivy let out a small yawn, letting her parents know she was getting tired.
"oh sweet girl, do you need another nap?" taylor cooed, as travis gave ivy back to taylor, who rushed the baby in her arms and sang her to sleep.
