The darkness unfurls,
it's destroying my mind!
This city doesn't have much time
so who gives a fuck if I rhyme?...Shit!
The structure of this country is encumbering,
the forces of power leave us wondering
Everyone around me lives in fear,
not knowing when the end will come
but I bet you can feel it drawing nearer.
I bet you can feel it slipping away.
I don't know how it'll end
but I do know I gotta get out of here.
But i guess it's all in my head,
I guess it's all in my head
These people function to live,
they're whispering in my ear
and only feeding my fear
but I guess it's all in my head

but these people know what I think,
these people know what I feel
and I can see it but it's all in my head...
I guess it's all in my head
and yeah, I'd rather be dead.
All of this pain and confusion
would hopefully leave my head.
I guess it's all in my head
these prying fingers, they lift
off of my voice box at last
and I am finally free.
And it was all in my head
but now it's all in your hands
and you can choose to save it
or watch it all collapse.
