Backstory: As a child, Owen was taken care of by Wicke's Pokémon. However, there were times when she took him with her to work. That's where he meets his childhood friends Lillie and Gladion, the two children of his mother's boss. The trio were inseparable over the years, so close that they were like siblings.

When he turned 11, Owen decided to become a trainer. And so, he ventured for the Kalos region where he'll meet his Pokémon partner.
