Unconditional Validation

Chapter 1

Once we had arrived at the school, I felt kind of nervous to be honest. Syosset High School. What a weird name for a school, I thought to myself as we pulled into a parking space by the front doors. We got out of the car and walked into the school together. As we were heading to the main office, I noticed that kids were running to their classes before the first bell rang. Skyler and I looked at each other with confused faces. Our mom saw the exchange we had and chuckled.

"Everyone is running so they don't become late or tardy for their first period." our mom pointed out while giggling.

"Ohhhh." Skyler said while I just shook my head and smiled.

We arrived at the main office and were greeted by the old receptionist lady there. There were a couple of other teens in there as well sitting in chairs by the principal's office, but it looked like no one knew who we were. That was definitely a good thing.  She looked up from her computer at the three of us standing there and smiled.

"Why hello there Mrs. Blackwell." the receptionist smiled.

"Hello to you too Helen- I mean Ms. Grant!" my mom smiled back.

"Who are these two cute youngins?" Ms. Grant asked excitedly.

"This is Tyler and Skyler Blackwell." my mom pointed at each of us while the both of us waved and smiled shyly.

"Wait, you two are related to Ryder?" Ms. Grant asked with confusion.

I looked around and saw that the other teens that were there were now in the principal's private office. I was relieved that they couldn't hear the conversation about us being triplets with Ryder Blackwell, the school's football team captain. 

"Yes, we're his two triplet siblings!" I replied with a smile.

"Oh my we have triplets in the same school!" Ms. Grant said in shock while everyone else laughed.

"Is the principal here?" my mom asked.

"Oh yeah she is, let me get her real quick." Ms. Grant got up quickly from the desk to go get the principal.

After a couple of minutes, the receptionist came back to the front of the main office with the principal on her heels. She looked like she was in her mid-thirties and looked very preppy as well. I didn't see the other teens come out of her office. I'm guessing that she's going to finish meeting with them after our introduction. The principal was very excited to finally meet the two of us.

"How are my two stars doing? I'm Principal Herrera. I'm so excited that you guys decided to finish your schooling with your triplet brother Ryder!" the principal beamed with delight.

"We are really excited as well!" my sister smiled really big with excitement while I just nodded in agreement.

"Excellent!" Principal Herrera exclaimed while clapping her hands together.

Both Skyler and I nodded in agreement in response to her excitement. The two of us were so ready for this school year to begin for the Blackwell trio.

"We're definitely needing them to go unnoticed, to be honest, Principal Herrera", our mom stated.

"Wait, why is that?" The vice principal walked up to the group looking really confused.

"Ah, Vice Principal Welch, thank you for showing up!" Principal Herrera smiled.

"You still didn't answer my question", Vice Principal Welch replied while eyeing me and Skyler weirdly.

"Well, we are two very talented teens who have a somewhat broad fanbase," Skyler piped up shyly.
