One of the new interns waved his arm with gusto.

Professor Hazen, lead scientist at the dig, made her way around the grid to his section. "What's up, Jason?"

"A fragment of brass wine goblet! Etched with a grapevine design, see?"

Hazen brushed dirt from the etching. "Those grapes don't look very plump. In fact, they're wrinkled. Raisins, I'd say. And the curve of the fragment is too wide for a goblet. Possibly a basin for serving dried fruits."

"At a palace banquet?" the eager intern asked.

"Very likely. Jason, I believe you've unearthed a rare raisin-emblazoned brazen basin. Amazing!"
