CHAPTER- XVI

Sid's friend, Nayan had his 1st year anniversary. Nayan had invited Sid and said to bring one date. Sid wanted to ask Pallavi but he was very nervous. 

Pallavi had saved up some money and her mother helped her to buy one second-hand scooter. They had brought it home, with it they brought happiness. Pallavi and Shilpa went on a long drive on it. When Pallavi was parking her scooter, her phone ranged. "Wanna go on a date?" The person was Siddharth. She was shocked. "Nayan is having his first anniversary celebrated and is forcing me to bring one date, I didn't know whom to ask, so will you go?" He asked.

"Pallavi help me get these bags beta" Shilpa had many bags in her hand. Pallavi took those bags inside. It took while to reply, Sid was tensed as what would be the reply. 

Typing......

Sid was scared and Pallavi didn't know what to say. 

What time is it?

After 4pm at durbarsmart. If you come, I'll pick you up.

No you don't need to pick me up. I can come on my own.

It means you'll come?

Um-um yes.

Okay. We'll have fun.  Oh and today lets watch parks and recreation after 10. okay?

okay. but I'll have to study after sometime, if you want to continue on your own you can.

No pallu. We'll watch together. I can wait. 

Okay then see you.

Pallavi went to her work early, she did extra shift in the morning. She was planning to go home and get ready before 4 pm and they had planned to meet in parking lot in 5pm. It was 3:30 and Pallavi was done with her work. She asked help from Alex. Pallavi went home fast and started getting ready. 

She was ready. Sid messaged her that he was leaving from home. She also took her leave. They met at the parking lot. Sid saw Pallavi getting off from scooter. 

"Hey"

"Hey, did you stole somebody's scooter?" Sid asked laughing.

"Do I look like a thief to you?"

"Yes a beautiful thief" Sid looked into her eyes. 

"Shut up. I bought it with my savings although its a secondhand. I love it. It gives me a sense of independence."

"So from there was your "you don't have to pick me up" attitude."

"Yes darling."

"Darling? Wow. Lets go inside now."

They went inside. Nayan and his girlfriend with some friends were talking. Nayan approached them. "Guys why are you late? The party has already started."

" Sorry. Congratulations." Pallavi shook hands with Nayan. "Thankyou"

"Bro I'm so sorry just traffic made us late." Sid said to Nayan.

"Oh I thought you two lovebirds were full on...." Nayan said.

"Lovebirds-....?   "   "Lovebirds-......? Both said together.

"Yeah guys. Now stop pretending that you're not boyfriend girlfriend. The way Sid looks at you, Pallavi.. and Pallavi how you were coming inside smiling and looking at Sid. You twooo, the chemistry you have, its exactly as Samantha, my love had when we were going out at firsts."

"No you're getting it wrong Nayan. There's nothing between us." Pallavi looked at Sid explaning their situation to Nayan. They both looked tensed as Nayan was stuck at their relation.
