Mr/Mrs Hyoudou adopted Shin at a very young age. Shin was very lonely and quiet as a kid. When Issei noticed this, he invited Shin to play with both him and Irina. Shin found out much later that he was cursed when Reniel visited him one night and left to go and kill devils to preserve his lifespan.
