Toxic (Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 1

"CHLOE IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!! YOU DON'T WANNA BE LATE ON YOUR FIRST DAY!" I heard my mom yell from the bottom of the stairs. I groaned as my alarm went off and slowly got out of bed and walked across my room to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face and then sat down at my makeup desk. I did my usual makeup with winged eyeliner and then got dressed in my school uniform grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs. I grabbed the cereal and milk and sat at the table. When I finished breakfast I grabbed my car keys and hugged my mom and left for school. I drove up in the parking lot of king drew's magnet high school in Los Angeles California. The only thing I hated about this school was the uniforms. It wasn't all bad though I loved it I was friends with pretty much everyone, I was on the volleyball team and cheer squad, the teachers and principle was really nice. I walked in through the doors and saw the usual big crowd outside the office waiting to get their schedules. I heard some people yelling my name and I smiled as I saw my friends and ran over to them. "Hey guys!" I said and they all smiled and hugged me. Bryana was my friend from birth we had been through everything together. Cassidy was a girl that I met 4 years ago and have been friends with ever since and chase was my best guy friend since 1st grade. I grabbed my schedule and immediately started comparing mine with Bryana and Cassidy and Chase. I heard a lot more people asking me for my schedule and soon I had a huge crowd around me. I was comparing with my friend Dan when I looked up to see the new kid. His name was Luke Hemmings he was in a band named 5 Seconds Of Summer. He had just gotten off of tour and his management and mom wanted him to finish school and he chose L.A. He walked past to get his schedule and as he did we both stared at each other. I broke eye contact when the bell rang. I walked to Psychology and sat down towards the front with my friends. I was talking to Bryana when she motioned for me to look at the door and when I turned I saw Luke walking in. He smirked at me and then walked to the very back and sat down at the back of my row. I rolled my eyes and continued talking and soon a wadded up ball of paper hit me in the arm. I looked back at Luke and he was looking around with a devilish grin on his face. I ignored it and threw the paper in the trash. He threw another one and I just turned and said, "Do you have a problem?" he smirked and said, "Yeah I'm bored and it's lonely back here." there wasn't anyone sitting between me and him just empty desks. "What's your name beautiful?" he said smirking at me and I just smiled and said,"It's Chloe." he smiled and said, "Well Chloe why don't you come back here and sit with me?" I smiled and said "No thanks I'd rather stay up here. I have straight A's to make. Sorry. Thank you though." I said and smiled and turned around. I heard him chuckle and he coughed and said, "Try hard." he laughed and I turned and glared at him and was going to say something but the teacher walked in. She introduced herself and then told everyone who was in the back to scoot up. All the kids except Luke obeyed. "Mister why don't you scoot up too." She said and Luke huffed and crossed his arms. "If I wanted to sit in the front like a loser I would have sat there in the first place." he said and the teacher put her hands on her hips and said, "Well you listen to me because I am in charge and if I say move up then move up. Now." She said and luke just rolled his eyes and groaned as he moved to the desk right behind me. "Well hey looks like we are sitting together anyway." I heard luke whisper in my ear. I brushed him away with my hand and ignored him. When the bell rang Luke walked up to me. "Hey wait!" he yelled and I kept walking until I got to my locker. He turned me around and pushed me back against the lockers. "I'm Luke." he said smirked and playing with my hair. "Yeah I know. Your that singing dude from 5SOS." I said turning around putting books in my locker as Luke continued talking. "Ohhhh sooo you've heard of me eh? Well like what you see? Is it everything you ever imagined? Am I as hot as you expected?" he said and I just chuckled and turned around. "The only thing you are is annoying. Now can I leave so I can go to my study hall?" I said and he smirked and played with my hair and got uncomfortably close. "Well you won't be saying that for long. Good girl." He said and winked and walked off. I breathed out hard and I didn't realize my heart was racing. I ignored it and walked off to the library and sat down at a table and opened a book. "You just can't stay away can you?" I heard a voice and looked up to see Luke. "Oh well you know your just sooooo irresistible." I said sarcastically and he just smirked and said, "Yeahhh well I have that affect on girls." he winked and sat down next to me and propped his feet on the table. I looked up from my book at him and pushed his feet off. "Off the table. Where do you think you are? Home?" I said and he smirked and got close and whispered. "Oh does that irritate you?" he kept smirking and I looked at him and pushed his face away and looked down at my book. "No it doesn't Luke." I said and he grabbed my waist and said, "Mmmmm I like it when you say my name. Don't worry you'll be screaming it soon." he winked and pulled me close and leaned in close to my face. I pulled away and ignored him and continued reading but of course he didn't leave me alone. He kept playing with my hair or rubbing my back or grabbing my thigh. When the bell rang I walked off before he could say anything and walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I was breathing nervously and my heart was racing. I brushed it off and continued my day and of course Luke was in every one of my classes. At the end of the day I walked out to my car and put my bag inside and heard moaning and talking. I looked up and I saw Luke on the other side of the car next to mine pushing a girl against it and shoving his tongue down her throat. He was grabbing her waist and boobs and they were getting really intimate. For an unknown reason I kind of felt angry and I didn't want to stay and enjoy the show. Right when I was about to get in my car Luke opened his eyes and looked at me and I just quickly pretended that I wasn't looking at him and got in. He ran around the front of that girls car and stood in front of mine as I backed out. I didn't look at him in any way as I drove off I didn't understand why I felt so angry. I got home before my parents so I was home alone so I could have some time to think this through. I went upstairs and changed into some spandex shorts and a white crop top with an elephant on it. I lied down in bed and stared at my ceiling thinking when I heard noises next door. I walked to my window and saw a U-Haul truck and people moving boxes into the house. I got curious so I walked outside to check the mail and see if I could see a familiar face. I got the mailbox and opened it and stood there pretending to go through the mail. I didn't recognize anyone but then Luke stepped out of the house. I had a sick feeling in my stomach and I shut the mail box and started to walk back to my house. "Chloe!" I heard Luke say and I softly groaned and turned around to look at him even though he was the last person I wanted to see. "Heyy there beautiful. It's nice to see you again. Looks like we're neighbors. You also get to meet my mom and the rest of 5SOS they will be coming to school with me tomorrow." he said smiling. I nodded and he looked at me, "Are you ok?" He asked and I smiled a fake smile and nodded. "Look if your upset about seeing me with that girl you don't have to be jealous. There is plenty of Luke to go around." He said smirking and laughing and I just shook my head and walked off. I went inside and shut the door as he was trying to say something. I didn't understand him he was such a dog but he was cute and when he wasn't being an ass he was sweet. I decided I just needed to not get involved with him it would be best before it goes to far. I went upstairs and soon my parents came home and we had dinner and after I showered and brushed my teeth I went to bed. Soon after I lied down I heard a knocking on my window and I went to it and opened the blinds and saw Luke standing there. I opened the window and said, "Are you crazy Luke what if you get caught?" he smirked and climbed in. "You think I care about getting caught? Come on live a little be a rebel." he said and I looked at him and said, "I'm not a rebel now you need to go." He looked at me sad as I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the window. He grabbed my waist and looked in my eyes. I sighed and said, "What do you want Luke? Why did you come over?" he smiled, "I just wanted to see you." he said sweetly. I smiled and he held my hand sweetly and held my waist gently. He smiled and looked into my eyes and brushed my hair out of my eyes and cupped my face with his hand and smiled sweetly at me. I smiled and blushed a little and he leaned in close. "Can I kiss you?" he asked and I sighed and stood there quietly for a minute and then slowly nodded. He leaned in and our lips almost touched when there was a knocking on my door. I pushed luke down behind my bed and sat on my bed and opened a book and said, "Come in!" My mom opened the door and walked in. "I just wanted to remind you that we are going out of town and you need to go home with bryana tomorrow." she said and I nodded. "I know thank you mom. Goodnight." I said and she nodded and kissed my forehead and left. Luke stood up and smiled, "Hey your parents are going out of town?" he asked and I nodded. "Yeah until Sunday." he smirked and said, "Well you know you could come to my party Friday night." he winked and I shook my head. "No I have to stay at bryana's." I said and he smiled, "Well she can come too if she wants." I sighed and said, "Your missing the point Luke I just can't. Now you have to go." I pushed him to the window and he looked at me sadly and said, "What about our kiss?" I sighed and said, "Well your just going to have to wait." He sighed and climbed out and said, "Well I can't wait to see you again." he winked and kissed my cheek and then left. I sighed and closed my window and lied back down and stared at my ceiling. He was so confusing he was sweet right before my mom walked in and then after she left he turned into a jerk. I couldn't sleep very well but eventually I did fall asleep. I hoped that tomorrow would be less crazy and confusing but of course it wouldn't be.
