Ch31. Breakfast at the Todoroki's?

Start from the beginning

"So, how did you end up here?" Y/N finally asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

Todoroki shrugged. "Well, after you fell asleep, I didn't want to wake you up. So, I carried you all the way to my house and let you sleep. Simple as that."

Y/N stared at him in disbelief. "You carried me? You didn't have to go through all that trouble!"

Todoroki's expression remained calm, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes. "It wasn't trouble. Besides, it's not every day I get to play the gentleman."

Y/N rolled her eyes, though a smile tugged at her lips. "Well, thanks for not dumping me on the streets or something."

He smirked. "I considered it, but I thought that might be too rude."

The banter between them continued as they finished breakfast, the easy camaraderie making the morning feel light and carefree. Y/N couldn't help but appreciate the unexpected turn of events. Todoroki, it seemed, had a side to him that went beyond the serious hero-in-training.

Quickly, however, the two of you stopped talking as the number two hero came into the dining room, creating an awkward silence between the three of you. Endeavor wondered why, when, and how you got into his house...

His eye slightly twitched: "Y/N... Why I appreciate you trying to bond with my son, he has training to attend to, and your... parents must be very worried about where you're at. You should leave."
Y/N simply looked at the man and instantly stood up from her chair, creating a creaking sound.

"it's about time I leave then..." She mumbled to herself, making eye contact with the heterochronic boy. "I'll see you at school, Shoto. I'll see myself out" Y/N smiled and waved as she began walking away.

Todoroki scoffed at his father. "Great, the moment you step into a room it gets all dull." He mumbled to himself and rolled his eyes, making his father look at him with an angered expression but decided not to react.

Y/N made her way back home, feeling a mix of satisfaction and amusement from the morning spent at Todoroki's. The fancy toast and unexpected sleepover had turned an ordinary night into a quirky adventure.

As she entered her house, she was met with the sight of All Might, still in his hero suit, pacing back and forth. The moment he saw her, relief flooded his features.

"Y/N! Where have you been? I've been worried sick!" All Might exclaimed, rushing towards her.

Y/N scratched the back of her head nervously. "Uh, hey, Dad. Funny story – I fell asleep at someone's place last night and forgot to call you."

All Might's eyes widened. "Someone's place? Did I need to go rescue you?"

Y/N chuckled. "Nah, it was Todoroki's. We just watched movies, ate fancy toast, and then I crashed on his... bed. No big deal." She muttered the bed part, hoping he didn't hear it.

All Might looked perplexed. "Fancy toast? What's that supposed to mean?"

Y/N shrugged. "You know, toast with all the fixings – butter, jam, peanut butter. It was a culinary masterpiece."

All Might dramatically clutched his heart. "I can't believe you betrayed me with fancy toast! I thought we had something special."

Y/N laughed. "It's not a betrayal, Dad. Just a nice breakfast at Todoroki's."

All Might put a hand to his forehead. "I thought you were in danger! I was ready to burst through the wall like the hero I am, and here you are, having a toast party without me."

Y/N grinned. "Next time, Dad. I'll make sure you get an invitation to the toast gala."

All Might sighed dramatically. "I can't believe my own daughter is having secret toast parties without me."

Y/N saluted dramatically. "Noted, Dad. You're officially on the fancy toast guest list."

As All Might left for his patrol, he struck a heroic pose at the door. "Fear not, citizens! I shall protect the world from toast-related calamities!"

Y/N couldn't help but burst into laughter at her dad's theatrics. "You do that, Dad. The world needs a hero to save us from the perils of fancy toast."

Two days after the U.A. Sports Festival, normal classes resume at the school. You decided to take the bus to school since you didn't live that far away, although, what you didn't expect is to suddenly be recognized...

"Wha- Wait aren't you that one girl from U.A.?" Asked a citizen, pointing at you making everyone's eyes land on you. It honestly made you a tad bit uncomfortable.

"Yea! I recognize her! She's the blindfolded girl, winning first place! You were so awesome!" Mentioned another person, smiling brightly at you. You smiled back at all the compliments, slightly turning red because of the embarrassment.

"Aha... Thank you..." You mumbled to yourself, without noticing a specific boy next to you...

"...Yea, take the compliments. You really were amazing." The purple-haired boy said as he lowered his head to your height. Well... That was unexpected.

You, who was slightly startled, began blushing even more because of the sudden appearance and the closeness of Shinsou.

"Oh! Shinsou! Didn't see you there! You always pop up in the weirdest places." You smiled at him.

He simply raised his brow and tilted his head to the side, still at your level. "Hm? Is that supposed to be an insult, or what?"

You widened your eyes under your blindfold and waved your arms around. "No, no, no! Sorry! It's just... I never see you around a lot, but when I do, it's always at an unexpected place."

Shinsou chuckled at your frantic behavior. "Don't worry girlie, just messing with you." He said before straightening his posture again and putting a hand behind his neck.

"This is our next stop, come on." He stated as he grasped your arm and dragged you with him toward the exit.

"O-oh."
