3rd person pov
the next morning, dakota woke up to multiple texts and calls from the others. she shot up out of bed as she got dressed and decided that going to meet up with them was better then sitting in her room and doing nothing.
"can I come with you?" emily asked and dakota froze. she turned to the red head and nodded. she didn't think anything of it, maybe emily could help them along the way with the case if anything.
"yeah, sure but just remember that after everything we went through in Woodsboro, they're all a little bit standoffish, and they might act like they hate you" she stated and emily nodded
"not anything I can't handle" she said and dakota smiled as they walked out of the apartment. they headed to where they all said they were meeting up and dakota walked over with emily
"whos this?" ethan asked as he looked at emily and she turned to dakota. how does one tell someone that shes a lesbian?
"this is emily, shes my roommate and shes a lesbian. she asked to come with me and I said yes. she could get involved if they find out shes my roommate so I decided to be safe" dakota said and they all smiled at emily
"t, are you alright? i heard about what happened" dakota asked her girlfriend and tara nodded. dakota sat down next to tara as emily sat down with them and quinn smiled at emily who smiled back.
"okay, nerds listen up! as terrifying. As all this is, I'm actually glad I get a chance to redeem myself we're not calling the killer last time.its fine okay. The way I see it, someone is out to make a sequel to the prequel" mindy stated
"whats a requel?" anika asked
"you're beautiful, sweetie. Let's hold the questions to the end." mindy told her
"stab one took place in Woodsboro, step 2 Took Place in college." sam said
"so we think that the killer is trying to copy the movies?" tara asked
"that is one possibility. Heroes now in college: check. Suspicious new characters brought to round out the suspect list and/ or body count: check,check and check" mindy said
"I don't like this" ethan said
"we don't either, imagine how we feel" dakota told him and he stiffened. tara rubbed her thumb over the back of her hand and leaned her head on her shoulder
