Over the next week or so Maddie is recovering well. The medics at arsenal have been assessing her closely. She's had multiple doctor appointments and they still can't determine what caused the cardiac arrest.
Michael still hasn't been in touch with Maddie, Louise has been round and said he's processing everything but Maddie still doesn't understand what she could have done without knowing the information.

Leah: baby?
Maddie: yeah?
Leah: you coming to training today?
Maddie: no, I'm just gonna stay here with Bruno.
Leah: you sure beautiful?
Maddie: yeah I'm sure.
Leah: okay, I love you.
Maddie: I love you too.
I kiss her before leaving the house.

I get to training a bit later and see Beth and Viv pull into the car park.

Beth: morning Leah, how's she doing today?
Leah: better, she seems better
Viv: that's great
Leah: yeah she's going to be fine.
Beth: are you okay?
Leah: I'm just worried about what's going to happen with her and her dad. They are so close and they haven't spoken for like a week.
Beth: she'll get through it, and he'll come round, try not to worry okay?
Leah: I'll do my best
Beth: good, now come on, time for the meeting.

We all walk inside and head to the meeting room.
I sit down at the back with Kim and Jen.
Jen: all good?
Leah: yeah all good
Kim: good
Jonas walks in, with Michael behind him. Michael.
Leah: what's he doing here?
Jen: your girlfriends dad?
Leah: mhm.
Jen: I don't know

Jonas: right girls, short one today. Leah?
Leah: yeah
Jonas: I'll have a short meeting with you later to fill you in.
Leah: okay?
Michael stands up and looks at me.
Jonas: Michael wants to talk to you.
Leah: he can wait.
Jonas: Leah.
I stand up and leave the room and head to a meeting room down the hall.
Michael comes in and shuts the door behind him.
Michael: how is she?
Leah: why don't you ask her, you know since you haven't been arsed to pick up the phone all week?!
Michael: I know, I know I'm a shit dad.
Leah: she needed to know about Alisha! Then you kick off at her for not knowing!
Michael: I kno-
Leah: I'm not finished.
He stays quiet.
Leah: she's in bits Michael! She thinks I don't know she cries herself to sleep, but I do! She can't be arsed to do anything, anything at all!
Michael: have the doctors said anything?
Leah: like I'd tell you!
Michael: please, Leah, how's my baby.
Leah: if you really wanna know, ask her yourself. I'm not telling you shit!

I walk out of the room to the changing room.

Kim: how'd it go?
Leah: yeah fine, just shouted at my girlfriends dad but apart from that, really good.
Beth: what happened?
Leah: I don't want to talk about it, I'm gonna call Maddie real quick.
Beth: okay

I ring Maddie.
Maddie: hey baby
Leah: hi
Maddie: what's up?
Leah: your dad stopped by to talk to me.
Maddie: h-he did?
Leah: yeah
Maddie: what did he want?
Leah: to know how you are
Maddie: did you tell him?
Leah: no baby, I told him to ring you if he wanted to know
Maddie: o-okay
Leah: don't worry baby, don't worry okay?
Maddie: Im not, im okay, enjoy training, call me when you're on your way home
Leah: I will baby, I love you
Maddie: I love you too.

The call ends and I head out to the pitches. All the girls are there already, Jonas is talking to them.
Jonas: everything okay Leah?
Leah: all good
Jonas: sure?
Leah: yeah
Jonas nods at me then continues talking to the group.
