"Come on!! I've waited weeks!!"
"Yeah I dunno if I can give you it yet."
"Spencer." She pouts and I laugh at her.
"Stop being so cute. You're getting it today. Just wait."
"Can't." I try to move her, get us moving towards the car but she has her feet firmly planted. "You promised after graduation. It's after graduation."
"Mhm. I'm not giving you it here though."
"Well I'm not moving without a clue." Her arms cross over her chest and I roll my eyes.
"I will throw you over my shoulder Lainey. Don't think I won't because people are watching."
"You wouldn't dare."
"Wouldn't I?" I raised an eyebrow, starting a stare down between us. She's so fucking stubborn but it's that stubbornness that keeps me on my toes. I love playful Lainey though. This side of her when she's so relaxed and happy and can be herself. "Ready to go?"
"No." She fought a smirk, quickly putting her frown back on and I rolled my eyes, taking one step forward. It was enough to crack her into a giggle as she backed up and tried to stop me scooping her up. "NO! OKAY! I'LL COME! SPENCER!!" Lainey laughed loud enough to cause people around us to turn whilst I tried to grab for her, ticking my fingers into her side whilst she laughed and squealed, fighting to push me away. She only stopped when I had my fingers interlocked with hers, arms wrapped around her tight whilst she giggled and panted, laying her head back onto my shoulder. "I love you."
"I love you too. Now you gonna behave?"
"Hmm. Depends what's the punishment if I don't?"
"Want me to tell you or we can move and I can tell you," I kissed her neck, reaching my mouth to her ear. "what a good girl you are whilst you're taking my cock."
"As opposed to?"
"Oh you want to be punished?" She laughed again. "Fine by me. I can-"
"Lainey?" Lanes went rigid under my hold, the smile on her face immediately disappearing. I pulled her tighter into me, wanting to give her the reminder who she was stood with and how safe she was with me. This person wasn't going to hurt her. I turned us around, anger and shock tugging at me. "Spencer?"
"You shouldn't be here." I state. Making it very clear that I know about the restraining order. Lainey's mom looks at her, me, my arms.
"Get your hands off my daughter."
"The hell I will." Lainey tries to pull her hands out of mine but I don't let her. We're both consenting adults. Despite the age gap, me and her are perfect for each other. Her family can go fuck. "What do you want Claire?"
"I want you to get your perverted hands-"
"Let's go Lanes." I twist my hand in hers, pulling her back.
"I want to know what she wants." Lainey pushes her feet down, turning towards her mother but adjusting her grip in my hand so our fingers are interlocked. "What do you want?"
"To see my daughter after her graduation. Did you not get my card for your birthday? I said I'd be here." Lainey glares. "Does Noah know? About-"
"I'm not discussing my relationship with you. It's none of your business. What do you really want? Because you sure as hell didn't drive out here alone to break the restraining order without a good enough reason." Claire sighs, taking a step forward and I tug Lainey back, stepping forward ever so slightly. "You don't need to be any closer." I can feel her pressed against my back, her fingers tightening in my hand.
"I want to talk." Clair crosses her arms, uncrossing them again and looking around. "In private. About us having a relationship again."
"No." Lainey is straight to the point with her answer.
"Lain-"
"No." Lainey pulls on my hand. "Can we go now? Please." I give her a nod, turning and covering her back as we headed back towards where I parked the car.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I helped her in, looking over my shoulder to find one of my guys who nods, no one's been near the car. At least we're fine there.
"No." Lainey looks up at me from the seat. "You know I told you I heard Andrew talking to someone before he came in for the code to the apartment?"
"Yeah."
"It was her." I stared at her in shock as she pulled the seatbelt across herself, clicking it in quickly. "Spence, I think my mom's behind it." I put my hand on her cheek, leaning down to kiss her quickly before standing up.
"Okay Sunshine. Don't worry about it yeah? You're safe with me."
