Author's Note: Requested by Dark_knights_0596. I apologize that this took so long. I had a hard time coming up with the perfect idea for a soulmates imagine that I thought would be perfect.

His hair is longer. Shaggier. But his eyes are still the most vibrant shade of blue you've ever seen. And he's strolling towards you with a purpose, his face set, jaw locked. Your eyes dart back and forth nervously, wondering what is going on going on?

"Baby, it's so good to see you again!" He picks you up and spins you in a hug. "Let me get a good look at my girl." He grins wide, stepping back and making you do a little twirl. You feel under dressed in your favorite sundress and sandals but his eyes can't leave you.

"Jack," You start with a blush. "Welcome home! I've missed you so much." You grin cheekily at him. You were thankful he was able to make it home for the family BBQ this time around. He said that he had a special announcement and his work friends would be at the family BBQ as well. You were nervous, so you keep fidgeting with your dress.

"Darling, you look absolutely beautiful in that sundress. Is that the one you bought for our first date?" Your eyes widen as you turn to look at him. He grins, eyes crinkling. You smack him playfully on the chest.

"You remembered that?" You tilt your head thoughtfully, thinking back to your first date. He chuckles deeply.

"I also remember you throwing up in my car and spilling spaghetti all over the place." Your face turns beet red and you smack him again, a little harder this time. He winces a bit, just to make you feel better.

"Shut up. That didn't happen!" You roll your eyes. He laughs again.

"You're right, I just remember sitting across from you at the little cafe all awkward like but then when we finally started talking all I thought is: Wow! This girl is my soulmate." He kisses your temple softly. "I'm so glad I'm home now." You can't help but sniffle. He lifts your chin and wipes the tears away. "Oh, my love. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I didn't mean to make you cry." You just shake your head, happy.

"I just... that just made me so happy." You laugh, wiping your eyes. He smiles at you like an idiot.

"God, Will would have loved you." He says as he brushes a strand of hair behind your ear. His eyes soften and you places your hand over his.

"Jack..." You say with sad eyes. "I wish I could have met him." You hated seeing the hurt in his eyes yes whenever he talked about his deceased best friend. But the love that shined there at the same time was astounding.

"Mitchell!" You hear a thick British accent holler out, making you jump in surprise. You stare at the man with wide eyes. Jack smile wide, turning to wave at one of his other best friends.

"Gideon! You made it!" Jack greets him with a handshake. Ilona isn't far behind. "Come here, I want you to officially meet my girlfriend!" Jack leads him over to you and grins again. Gideon takes your hand and presses the back of it to his lips.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He grins cheekily. "And here I was starting to think you were fake." He says, laughing as Jack snatched your hand from him, wiping the kiss off. You can't help but laugh as he kisses the same spot with a pout.

"Don't laugh. He's not funny." He says jokingly with a pout as he wraps an arm around your waist. You giggle again, leaning into him. Ilona arrives then.

"Boys, I trust you're not causing too much trouble already?" She raises an eyebrow. Both men groan. She just grins wickedly at them, giving you a gentle hug in hello. "So nice to see you again, (Name)!" You hug her back happily so excited.

"Ilona!" You chirp excitedly. "Oh my gosh! It's been too long." Mitchell and Gideon look at you two suspiciously.

"How do you two know each other?" Jack asks with a cute little head tilt. You laugh. Ilona rolls her eyes.

"I introduced myself?" She says like it should be obvious. You cover your mouth to hide your smile as the three start to bicker.

"Okay, okay." You intervene. "Shall we go join my family?" All three of them cheer for food.

The party is in full swing, and you're off planting with your nieces and nephews by your parents kiddie pool when they call that dinner is ready to be served. You giggle, chasing the kiddos around in another round of tag.

"I'm gonna get you Amelia.." you tease gently, getting tagged by one of your nephews. You gasp in surprise, going down dramatically as all the kids laugh. "Oh! No!" You collapse. "I can't go on!" You raise a hand into the air. "No more! Have mercy lords and ladies of tag!" You go limp, pretending to die as all the kids laugh, climbing all over you. You scoop one of them up, pm ting kisses all over their face with a laugh as they squeal trying to get away.

"Alright, dinner time!" Your dad's voice booms. All the kids go running over to their parents to get ready for dinner as Mitchell walks over to help you up off the ground. He smiles down at you, offering you his hand. You take and he helps you up easily.

"You're great with kids." He says and his arm snakes around your waist. You nod happily, watching them.

"I helped raise most of them." Most of your family is ex-military or current military so it was a surprise that you're the only one who decided against joining and instead opted to become a teacher. "Would you ever w at kids?" You ask him curiously. He ponders, tilting his head.

"Yeah, I think I would. I'd love to be a dad someday." You look over when your dad yells for the two of you to hurry up.

"Whoops, we better get over there." You giggle, moving to the table to sit down. After all the kids are settled in you sit next to Mitchell, holding his hand as your father makes the yearly toast.

"Would anyone else like to add to the yearly toast?" Your father asks, his eyes landing on Mitchell. Mitchell pushes his chair back with a "yes sir, I would" and you can't help but to look confused.

"First, I'd like to announce my official retirement plans from the military. We've completed the mission I set out to do." Mitchell says, scanning the table, his father nodding at him. He turns to you, letting out a breath. "But my next mission is my probably the scariest thing I've ever done." He fiddles with his cargo pocket, pulling out a velvet box as he takes your hand, going to one knee. "(Name)," he starts softly. "I have out you through hell this last year and you've not wavered from my side one bit." He smiles at your gasp in shock, tears in your eyes. Crying in your seat. Your father stands proudly, watching Mitchell.

"Having you by my side is what completes me. You're my constant, my home. And before you, there was only this endless cycle of war. You've shown me that there's so much more to life than that. And so, would you do the honors of becoming my wife?" Mitchell lets out a shaky breath as everyone waits in anticipation, you just nod your head yes.

"Yes." You sob out as he slides the ring on your finger. But you don't really care about the ring so much as that you're going to finally have his last name. "I'll marry you, yes." You wipe your eyes as he kisses you gently before standing up and taking his seat again. He grins at you as he father claps him on the shoulder.

"Good choice son." Your dad grins. "Now, who's ready to eat?" Everyone laughs and launches into excited chatter but you and Mitchell can't stop looking at each other and just smiling.

"You're my soulmate, (Name). I love you." He brushes his thumb across your cheek with a gentle smile.
