"Dad? How did you and mom meet anyway?" Jack and Gabriella's nineteen year old son, William, stares at him from across the table with piercing grey-blue eyes. Inside those orbs were flecks of brown that always seemed to drive the chicks crazy because of them. Smiling a little, Mitchell sips from his coffee cup.

"I met her the day she came to Atlas. She was there just to help out with the political aspect of the job. She worked close with Irons." Even after all these years, that name still leaves a horrid tatse in his mouth. An invisible mix of hatred, anger, blood and metal cavalcades over his tongue all at once. Mitchell forces himself to smile at his son.

"How did you know she was the one?" He cocks his head a little, curiosity glowing in his large eyes. His eyes reminded him so much of Gabriella's in the way that, if you were lucky enough and skilled enough, you were able to read the emotions inside of them.

"The moment I saw your mother, I felt like my heart ran away from me to stand by her. Though, I don't know if we would have gotten together without Uncle Gideon." His son lets out a hearty laugh that makes his grey-blue eye close.

"I love Uncle Gideon! He's crazy." Mitchell holds up his pointer finger.

"Crazy, yes. But! He's a brilliant man. And he loves us deeply. Anway, here is how I met your mother... Also, I didn't realize until later that Gideon is her father. He's a sneaky old man."

"She is beautiful, in that quiet way that lonely, unnoticed people are..." Those were always the most beautiful to Mitchell, when he got a chance to actually notice them or people in general... Being a soldier, he watched everything but he never really looked at the people. Not until this girl anyway. As his eyes scan over her willowy form, his breathing slows. She was beautiful in such a confident and professional manor that the young woman barely touched her face with make-up. Her tan skin seemed to glisten against the white dress shirt, sleeves rolled up to her elbows, as she focused on her current task at hand. He blue gaze drops to her backside where he flushes and instantly averts his gaze elsewhere.

"What is wrong with me?" Beside him, Gideon chuckles knowigly as he follows Mitchell's gaze back to the woman standing in front and to the left of Gideon himself. She leans back over the table with a groan. She leans back and unbottons her top two shirt buttons. Gideon quirks an eyebrow as his bestfriend groans in annoyance.

"She must be knew here. You should go talk to her." Gideon ignores the glare from Mitchell but he can tell that Mitchell is already enthralled by the young woman. Knowing it wasn't in a crude or sexual manner, Gideon pushes back when Mitchell begins to refuse.

"What would be the point? I probably won't ever see her again." The saddness rang clear in his voice. Gideon frowns a little as Mitchell throws his gaze to the floor, shame hiding in his electric baby blues.

"How do you know that?" Gideon challenges. Mitchell purses his lips and refuses to look or answer him. Gideon sighs in irritation as he mumbles,

"Fuck me." He see's Mitchell throw him a warning glance but its his turn to avoid it. He wasn't going to pry or anything. He justs thinks Mitchell should give love a chance.

"Don't." Mitchell warns.

"I won't. I just think you should talk to her. I guess ordering you to do it wouldn't work, right?" Mitchell looks at Gideon with a horrified look. Narrowing his eyes he growls out,
