Todd glanced at the fevered sky.

He glanced at the World, as if it would crush him in its bitter aura.

He was glad to see Ellie.

'Where were you?'.

'On the bus. You know. This is Alison', she said.

'Todd'.

'Hello'.

'The night is young'.

'Oh, I see'.

'New York is diverse, you know. Too many people are taking time to deal with the here and the now. Of course, life isn't a Less Than Zero Christmas drama'.

'I read the book in the library by Bret Easton Ellis', Alison said.

'Of course, AI is taking away writer's jobs'.

'Really'.

'The strike of 2023 killed Hollywood'.

'Did it?'.

'Yeah. Too much drag, you know. Do you smoke?'.

'Yeah, sometimes', Alison smirked.

'Good, my boyfriend is a drama queen. But he's not ranting'.

'I hope not', Ellie said.

'So, what's now on the horizon?'.

'More strikes'.

'Jesus!', Alison sighed.

'So, let's go to the dorms', Alison said.
