Up in the Clouds

Part 1

"Uhm, yeah sure I can wait inside." You walk in as he shuts the door behind you.

Violet looks at you, "Mommy I'm thirsty." 

"Okay let's go get a drink baby." you walk into the kitchen with her and you open the fridge grabbing a juice box, opening it for her and handing it to her. She sips out of the little straw moving from side to side. Jack walks into the kitchen with Avani and Libby behind him.

"Hey y/n." Avani says as you turn around and wave at her.

"Hey."

"Hi Violet." Libby waves at the little girl as she waves back.

"We are about to watch a movie, do you wanna join us?" Jack offers.

"What movie?" you kneel down taking off Violet's shoes.

"The Grinch who Stole Christmas, the new animated one." Avani smiles.

"I wanna watch that movie!!" Violet shrieks.

"How long will he be?" you look Jack.

"He is picking up Jett from LAX and you know how bad traffic is over there, most likely he will be here when the movies ends." Jack says.

You sigh, "I guess I could stay for the movie, just wish he would have told me this, I wouldn't have came so early." 

"He didn't know he was going to leave until Jett called him and asked him since Jett couldn't get his car to start." 

"It's fine, I can wait." You smile a little then walk over with everyone to the living room as you get settled on the couch with Violet sitting next to you.

After the movies ends, it was 9:30 at night, you and Violet ended up falling asleep during the movie while everyone else finished it. You and her were asleep on the couch, cuddled up together with a blanket, the only light in the room was from a lamp in the corner of the room. The front door opens and Vinnie and Jett walk into the house and towards the living room, where you and Violet were sleeping, just the two of you, everyone else had gone to bed. Jett points to the two of you as Vinnie looks over and smiles. He walks over quietly and kneels down looking at Violet, rubbing her cheek softly as she slept. He looks up at you sleeping and sighs softly. He leans over and kisses Violet's cheek then he moves up and kisses your forehead softly. He pulls the blankets up more, to cover you both up and stands up walking over to Jett who is in the kitchen. Jett looks at him and notices his change in mood.

"What's wrong?" Jett moves a little closer to him so he doesn't speak too loud.

"I just...I miss her. Sucks we had to end things years ago, but looking at her, asleep with my daughter," he sighs shrugging, "I don't know, it makes me wonder, if I really made a good choice of ending things. I mean every time she comes here to drop her off or pick her up, she looks sad and I know she misses me too, but I don't know man. Seeing them like that together, in my house, under my blankets," he sniffles, "Just hurts." 

Jett hugs his friend and nods, "Tell her how you feel then. Everything is slowing down for you now, you don't have such a crazy schedule anymore, say something man." 

Vinnie pulls away and looks over to the two of you still sleeping, "Yeah youre right," he wipes his eyes, "I should wake her up though, I don't want her getting mad that she slept here and no one woke her up to go home." 

"Alright." Jett nods and walks upstairs.

Vinnie walks over to you two and kneels down rubbing your arm and he shakes you a little, "Hey y/n?" he whispers softly to you as you stir in your sleep. You open your eyes slowly and move a little then look down and sees Violet is asleep.
