Driving to his house was bringing back a lot of old memories between you two, especially the little four year old you had in the backseat who was a mirror reflection of him. You loved your daughter Violet so much and you would do anything for the girl. Bringing to her father's house, was a reminder every time how you two we not together anymore and it hurt you so much. Four years ago, when you found out you were pregnant with Violet, you ex-boyfriend was at the peak of his career; modeling jobs, trips to Paris for fashion shows, leaving Hype house and joining 100 Thieves, etc. He was thriving and you were just a normal tiktoker, making hair tutorial videos and dancing on occasion. You and him were always safe while having sex, you were on birth control and he always wore a condom, you had been in a relationship for 3 years before you ended things with him. When you told him, he was going to be a father, it shocked him. With everything else happening in his life, hearing that was too much for him. He was constantly leaving for trips to other states and countries, streaming a lot, and filming things with 100 Thieves. It was getting too much for the both of you and you weren't seeing each other as much anymore, so you both decided mutually to end things. It was hard because you both loved each other very, very much but with a baby on the way and him not being around, just wasn't fair to the either of you.
So you decided as a young 19 year old mother you needed to change things to help support your daughter. You started doing brand deals on tiktok and instagram, posting videos and pictures of products that companies would send you. When Violet was born, baby companies would send you baby products, toys, etc; she was set for life. Now being 23 years old with a four year old, you are set for life.
You and him got joint custody of Violet, but with his busy schedule you both agreed for the time being until he got his schedule under control, when he got the chance to see her, he would. For now, he sees her Friday nights to Sunday nights, sometimes longer if he can. It has been like that for the last 2 years and still hasn't change, but Violet loves her dad and doesn't care when she sees him. Recently, he has been calling you at night to facetime so he can say goodnight to her and read her a book. You have never held her away from him or told him he couldn't do that, you knew how much he loved her and how much she loved him.
So driving to his house now, just makes everything hurt. You love him and wish things could have worked out for the two of you. Sometimes, life gets in the way, but he would have found a way to make it happen, but you felt like he just didn't care.
Arriving at his house, you pull into the driveway and put the car in park. You turn around and look at Violet as she is smiling back at you.
"Mommy, we are here!" she claps her hands.
"Yes we are, are you ready?" you smile taking off your seatbelt.
"Yesss!!" she giggles.
You step out of the car grabbing your keys and phone putting them in your pocket as you walk around to her side of the car. You open the door and unbelt her seatbelt, taking her out of her seat and putting her down so you can grab her backpack. She walks to the door as you shut your door and she knocks. You walk up behind her as Jack opens the door, "Hey kiddo!"
"Hi uncle Jack!" Violet smiles up at Jack.
He picks her up and hugs her then puts her on his hip, "What's up kiddo?"
"Is daddy home?" she pouts at him.
Jack looks at you then back at her, "Daddy isn't home right now, he went to go pick up Uncle Jett. He will be back soon," He puts her down as he looks at you, "Hey y/n."
"Hi Jack." you smile.
"If you wanna wait inside for him to show up that should be fine." he smiles at you.
