Zheng Shuyi shook her head and said, "Sorry, I'm already eating with someone tonight."

Hearing that Zheng Shuyi's tone had a sense of joy in it, Qin Shiyue looked towards her.

The two's eyes met, and Zheng Shuyi raised her eyebrows, showing a meaningful smile.

"Oh! I get it!!"

Qin Shiyue suddenly realized and laughed, "No wonder you came out to buy new clothes."

Zheng Shuyi smiled and replied, "Smart."

Qin Shiyue gave her a thumbs up, "Awesome! Go! You can do this!"

——

She didn't expect herself to take so long in the mall. So after saying bye to Qin Shiyue, Zheng Shuyi quickly took a taxi to get home. The second she stepped off of the car, she saw Shi Yan's car approaching.

Zheng Shuyi glanced at several shopping bags in her hand, thought for a moment, and walked quickly towards her neighborhood.

She simply wanted to put all these shopping bags down first.

In addition, Zheng Shuyi just wore normal shoes for going shopping. She didn't think they look good enough, so she also wanted to go home and change into a pair of high heels.

But after just a few steps, the car behind her stopped.

"Zheng Shuyi."

Hearing him calmly calling her name, Zheng Shuyi subconsciously stopped and turned her head.

Shi Yan's car window lowered down, and from Zheng Shuyi's angle, she could only see half of his face. His meaningful eyes were looking at her.

"Get on."

"Ok."

With no other choice, Zheng Shuyi could only carry the bunch of shopping bags into the car.

When the paper bags were stuffed into the seat, there was a crazy amount of noise. Then, she placed them horizontally beside her feet.

Shi Yan glanced at her several times and frowned.

Business vehicles have never been piled up with these messy things.

It seemed a bit awkward.

Without realizing it, Zheng Shuyi straightened her hair while looking at the car window and didn't bother to ask Shi Yan where they were going.

Every once a while, Shi Yan would read some files while driving. Zheng Shuyi didn't disturb him as she just sat quietly on the side.

Half an hour later, the car drove into the suburbs, crossed the national highway, turned into an attraction site, drove beside a lake, and parked at the entrance of a Chinese-style garden.

This garden was partly open to the public and was the private property of the Cheng family. The environment was extremely calm and clean, a perfect place for many couples.

But today, the dinner hosted by the grandpa of the Cheng Family was not a formal business dinner, it was just a habit.

When the old man lost his child years ago, he hadn't had another child. After being lonely for too long, he started holding family dinners. Family, friends, and relatives all brought their children to come. Mr. Cheng loved to see the lively scenes of these children.

For more than ten years, this annual gathering still hasn't changed. The children have all grown up and were still used to attending this family dinner at the end of every year.

Unfortunately, Zheng Shuyi had no clue about this. As she followed Shi Yan into the grade, she felt that something seemed wrong.

The long halls and curvy paths spread throughout the garden. There was even a bridge and a small stream of water.
