The Card

"Okay, let's look for the card... We'll find it, okay?.." Sadie tries to stay calm, so Avery stays calm too

Avery goes and looks in the living room. They have little pieces of velcro all over the house, but the kitchen is where the cards are supposed to be stored. But they have velcro all over, so cards are in every room. Sadie follows Avery into the living room to help her look for the card

"Okay, let's look around... I think it might be around here since you have a card container in the kitchen..." Sadie tries to stay hopeful as she tries searching for the card

Sadie goes over to the velcro strip that's on the wall of the living room. She checks here first because she remembers Avery had the card on this strip yesterday. "Where would it be?"

Avery goes over to the couch and screams. Sadie gets startled and turns over to Avery.

"Avery? What's wrong, sweetie? Why are you screaming?” Sadie says with a slightly confused expression on her face.

Avery jumps up and down as she points at the couch. She screams excitedly. Sadie looks at the couch, wondering what could make Avery scream excitedly like that

"Did you find your card?.." Sadie says asks

Avery grabs the card and excitedly

Sadie chuckles, "Yay! You found your card!" Sadie says."Can we go to the store now?.."

"Mnmmm." Avery says excitedly

"Okay, let's go!.."Sadie grabs Avery's hand and heads out of the living room toward the front door. They walk outside to the car. Sadie puts Avery in her rear facing car seat and buckles her in as she climbs into the driver's seat.

"Alright, alright... We're going to the store..."

Avery squeals as she wiggles in her seat. Sadie starts to drive to the store.

"You're so excited to go to the store, eh?" Sadie smiles at Avery

Avery screams excitedly and claps her hands. Sadie starts to drive faster while trying not to smile.

"It's adorable that you get so excited about the store..." Sadie says in a sweet tone

Avery squeals as she looks out the window. Sadie focuses on the road while continuing to drive to the store

"We are gonna go look for some good snacks for you..." Sadie says in a sweet tone as she looks back at Avery in her rear view mirror.

Sadie gets a phone call. She picks up the phone after seeing the call notification.

"Hey Sadie, it's Mark from the tech store," he says

"Oh hey Mark, what's up?" Sadie says in a cheerful tone."Is the iPad done?"

"Yeah, we just fixed it.it was really broken, but we fixed it, and Avery's AAC is running perfectly." He says

"Oh great! That's such a relief! Thank you so much, Mark! I'll come get it after I take Avery to the store..." Sadie says in a happy and relieved tone

"Okay, great, see you guys then!" He says and hangs up

"Hey Avery! Your iPad is fixed! We'll go pick it up after the store..." Sadie smiles

Avery smiles and wiggles happily as she looks at sadie through the little mirror in front of her. Sadie drives to the store and parks.

"Okay, we are here!" Sadie says as she gets out of the car. "Alright, sweetie... Are you ready to go inside?.." Sadie says, opening the back door.

"Mama." Avery says as she reaches for Sadie.

Sadie smiles as she picks her up. "Yes, sweetie?" Sadie says in a sweet tone as she unbuckles Avery."Do you want me to carry you?.."
