ISHITA POV

I was buying a Pooja Thali from the street vendor near the Mandir while my not-so-poker-faced fiance was pretending to be busy with some work calls. I knew he was just putting on a show. I thought,

"Huh, I can see through this act too. How can he not come with me?" mein bhi dikhti hoon yeh kaise mere sath nhi aate, but soch tho ishita kya karna hai aise sirf bolne se todhi tere peeche aa jayenge.kash mera hone wala pati bhi mujhpe wattpad ki stories ki tarha latoo hota, lekin yeh hain ki abhi se meri baatein nhi mante...... Hayee! mera y/n girl rehne ka sapna sapna rehgaya .

i was busy with my self talking and someone patted my shoulder and i got startled and kept my hand on my chest.

"Kya hua, Doctor Sahiba? Main hoon, apka hone wala pati," he said, smirking at the last sentence.

"Han, pata hai ki aap hi ho, mere hone wale. Itna itraane ki zarurat nahi hai. Bade aaye, hak itna jama rahe ho , Thoda sa apne duties bhi nibha lo," I said, indirectly inviting him to come with me.

"Ita," he said in his intimidating tone, which made me a bit nervous.

"Ittu sa dar gayi mein ? Ap jaiye darshan karke aaiye, phir baat kar lenge, jab tak main work calls kar leta hoon."

"Acha, theek hai. Kam se kam upar tak to chalein, Mandir ke andar mat jana, lekin upar aake saath dedo, thoda sa mera," I said, showing my puppy-dog eyes, which usually worked on my brother and father.

"Thik hai, upar tak chalta hoon," he said with a sigh.

Internally, I jumped, realizing that my puppy-dog eyes had worked here. Yeah!

As we reached, he didn't enter inside, and I huffed at his stubbornness, then went inside the Mandir.

I raised my hands to ring the hanging bell, still contemplating how to persuade him to enter inside. Suddenly, my eyes shifted towards the decorative oil lamps, and my mischievous mind started working.

"Hey Bhagwan, mujhe maaf karne par inhe andar bulane ke liye karan padega. apni iss choti si bhakt ko maaf kar dena " I said, and I bent towards the lamp, gently touching the flame, causing my hand's side palm to get slightly burned. It wasn't severe, just enough to make it appear a little red.

"AAAhh..." I shouted, and everyone looked at me. Ansh, who was engrossed in a phone call, turned to see what happened and looked worried when he saw me shouting. He ran towards me, not caring that he had entered inside.

"Sorry, Ansh, but yeh jaruri tha," I thought.

"Ishita, Ishita, kya hua, baccha? Idhar dikhao, kya karti ho? Kisne kaha tha diye ke paas jaane ke liye jyada dard ho raha hai?" Ansh said with great concern. "Doctor pass chale. Mein bhi kyun phuch raha hoon?" and he was going to lift me but...

"Ansh, itna nahi hai, app tension mat lo. Bas halka sa jala hai," I said while placing my hand on his mouth to keep him from interrupting while I was talking.

"yeh todha sa hai? Laal pad gaya hai," he said, removing my hand.

"Arre bhaisahab, wahan pe paani ka matka hai. Usme se paani lekar hath me dal do, thoda sa jala hai. Theek ho jayega, jalan nahi hogi," one of the pujari ji said with utmost concern.
