CHAPTER 16

Yeonjun pov:

"He what?!" Beomgyu exclaims, his eyes widening in disbelief.

Taehyun, sitting next to him in the school cafeteria, his brows furrowing. "No way!"

Kai burst into a loud laughter, clutching his stomach. "HAH, SEE I WAS RIGHT, I KNEW HE WAS GONNA FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU!"

"Shut up, Kai" Beomgyu says.

"You're just jealous-"

"Jealous of you being lonely?"

"I'm not lonely, I have my plushies"

"Seriously? anyways yeonjun we're going to the mall, do you wanna come with us?"

I look up from my lunch, considering the invitation. "Sure, I'll go," I say with a small smile.

"Great!, it's gonna be so fun!" Beomgyu beams, his eyes twinkling with excitement.

The bell rings and we all head towards our classes.

School finally ends, and I make my way to my home.

As soon as I enter the house, I spot Soobin engrossed in his phone. He skipped school today so yeah.

"Soobin?"

"Hmm?"

"Can i borrow your car?"

Soobin doesn't even bother to look up. "No."

"Please?"

"No"

"Please!"

 "No"

"Fine then...just give me your car keys"

"No"

"Then can you drive me?"

"No"

"Then... can I call an uber?"

Soobin shook his head. "No."

"Just-"

"No"

 "Please?"

"No"

"You're so annoying just gi-"

"Fine, i'll drive you"

"Finally!"

As we arrive at the mall, I see my friends standing at the entrance of a clothing store.

"Yeonjun!" Beomgyu calls.

"Oh hey Beomgyu!"

Soobin huffs impatiently as I talk with my friends.

Taehyun nudges Beomgyu. "Do you think Yeonjun even realizes Soobin is here with him? It's like he's ignoring him or something."

"Yeonjun can i-" 

"Shut up soobin"

"But-"

"Not now Soobin, Beomgyu just found a sale on his favourite band"

Our conversation continues with Kai talking about his new plushie.

"Kai, no one cares about your plushies" I say.

"I do!"

"They're useless" Beomgyu says.

"Just like you"

Me, kai and Taehyun  laugh at the shock in Beomgyu's face.

"Oh, look at this plushie! It's so cute"

"No it's ugly" Beomgyu says.

"Not more uglier than you" Taehyun says while laughing.

Beomgyu gasps "Hyunnie, how can you say that to me? why are you all ganging up on me? did i do something today-"

"Shut up, Beomgyu"  Kai says.

"You little bit-"

Beomgyu chases Kai while we me and Taehyun laugh at their silliness.

As my friends prepare to leave, I smiled and wave at them. 

"That was fun, right?" I ask Soobin with enthusiasm.

"Fun?" Soobin scoffs, his voice laced with bitterness. "Yeah, because all you did was ignore me the entire time."

"What do you mean?" I ask confusedly.

"You literally told me to shut up" he rolls his eyes.

"Me? when- oh right, well i didn't mean to"

"Oh really?"

"Yeah"

Soobin huffs. "Well, maybe I won't buy you mint ice cream anymore"

My eyes wide in horror. "Wait, no! I'm sorry! I promise I'll pay more attention to you next time!"

Soobins lips curls into a smirk. "We'll see about that" he teases before taking off, his laughter echoing through the mall.

"Soobin come back!" I laugh as I chase him.

Eventually, Soobin slows down, allowing me to catch up.

"You're impossible, you know that?"

Soobin winks. "But you still love me anyway, don't you?"

I grin "Maybe..or maybe not?"

"Hey! What do you mean by that!" he yells playfully before chasing me.
