Giyuu's Pov

"Tomioka-san, wake up!" I blinked and saw the same petite figure in front of me. I rubbed my eyes and muttered, "Am I dreaming again?" She nodded earnestly, saying, "Wake up, Tomioka-san, this isn't you!"

Confused, I asked, "What do you mean?" She continued urgently, "Mitsuri isn't the one you love..." Her words felt like an echo of something I'd heard from fans before, but I assumed it was just a dream. "Who are you?" I asked.

She began, "I am Insect Hashira Ko-" but was cut off abruptly by my blaring alarm, shattering the moment.

Frustration boiled up, and I flung my alarm to the ground, its shattered pieces scattering. "Why?" I cried out, my headache intensifying. Suddenly, something stirred in my memory.

"But wait... What did she mean by 'Insect Hashira'... What the heck is that?" I pondered and quickly resorted to Google for answers. It wasn't easy to find information; 'hashira' translated to 'pillar' in Japanese. Then, I stumbled upon an untouched link.

"Hashiras are the strongest swordsmen in history...?" I mused aloud. "But isn't the shogun the highest rank? Don't tell me they're above shoguns..." I read further and discovered a peculiar address, "Welcome Giyuu Tomioka... we're glad you found this link... you can come to the northernmost village of Asakusa and follow an old crow to get your questions answered."

Suspecting my laptop was compromised, I checked all my antivirus apps. "Hirohito, check my laptop and bring it to me later. I'm going out," I instructed, donning my workout clothes.

As I jogged, questions swirled in my mind. "If I don't love Mitsuri, then who do I love? Is this some kind of joke? I can't fathom why someone would play such a prank." Lost in thought, I ran for hours, finally stopping for some fresh air.

Distracted, I opened Instagram to check for any updates on my strange situation.

Giyuu Tomioka found running at 4 am in the morning, don't you think it's weird?

@user991: BARK BARK BARK

@user191: MEOW MEWO WOOF WOOF JWJDJEJD

@URRR: I just folded.

@user99: he is so fine bruh

@user818: I am so jealous of him

I glanced at the comments from my fans, all too familiar with their excessive admiration for my pictures. I couldn't help but mutter, "Not bragging, but this is getting kind of creepy."

Then, a crow with a purple tie around its neck cawed at me, saying, "Giyuu Tomioka, follow me!" I blinked in astonishment. "Did that crow just speak?" The crow circled over my head, urging me, "Okay, I'm coming," and I took off after it.

After what felt like an hour of running, I found myself in a picturesque setting—a traditional Japanese house enveloped in wisteria flowers. A sense of nostalgia washed over me. "Have I been here before?" I wondered aloud. "Welcome, Giyuu Tomioka," a young man on the porch greeted me.

I couldn't help but be skeptical. "You're the one who made the link?" I questioned. He nodded and introduced himself, "I am Kagaya Ubuyashiki."

I pressed him, asking, "So why did you call me?" Kagaya explained, "I know why you've been experiencing headaches." I shifted uncomfortably. "I'm not trying to be a creep, but please, don't worry. I'm just a man with a terminal disease." He offered a reassuring smile. I replied cautiously, "Oh... okay."

Then he dropped a bombshell. "The visions you've been experiencing are from your past life. You were a Hashira, one of the strongest demon slayers." I was in shock and disbelief. "I don't believe you," I retorted.

Kagaya continued, "I understand, but you were the only Hashira left standing after the fight with the Demon King." His words confused me further, and my patience was running thin. "What the heck are demons? There are no demons in this world," I exclaimed, my annoyance showing.

Kagaya's gentle voice grated on my nerves. "Giyuu, you were a formidable Hashira who protected humanity with unwavering dedication. Your sacrifice was great, and the love you left unspoken is a testament to your noble heart. Your past is a part of you, and the visions you're experiencing are a connection to your former self. Accept your memories, for they are the essence of your heroic spirit."

Then, the revelation came, "Mitsuri isn't the one you love." My confusion deepened as I asked, "Who was my lover, then?" Kagaya dropped the bombshell, "Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira." I couldn't believe my ears. "No, this is impossible," I protested.

Kagaya tried to comfort me, "Shinobu Kocho, your past love, was a remarkable woman, and your connection was deep. I understand your skepticism, but these visions and your heart's longing tell the truth. Sometimes, memories are like a hidden river, and it takes time to fully reconnect with them. Embrace your past and the love you once shared, for it will guide you forward."

Finally, I decided to listen to him. "She unfortunately died while fighting a strong demon. You both failed to express your feelings because you were both Hashira, and your primary focus was on defeating demons," Kagaya explained.

I felt a sudden surge of curiosity. "I'm sorry, Ubuyashiki-san, but you're leaving out a lot of details. I want to know everything—about my current lover, Kanroji Mitsuri, Shinobu's present lover, Iguro Obanai, and most importantly, who you are and why you decided to talk to me."
