Chapter 16 - Can't Wait to be Queen

Zazu - "And they take those traditions very seriously, Sire."

Simba - "Oh, believe me, I know. It has to be perfect...Unless the best youngest sister in the world could just translate my speech for me?"

Shani - "Haha! Sorry, dear brother of mine, but I can't give the speech for you. Even in translation. But it won't be that bad."

Zazu - "She's right, it's only one phrase."

Shani, Zazu - (Speaking in Elephantese)

Simba - "Hmm, easy for you to say."

Zazu - "Hmm, I suppose it is. But then, I am fluent in elephant. Not to mention gorilla, chimpanzee, and several dialects of bushbuck."

Nala - "Yes, Zazu. We know."

Zazu - "Believe me, Sire. By the time we get there, Lady Shani and I will have you speaking like a true elephant."

Mzingo - "...Hmm. Simba and Nala leaving the Pride Lands. This will be worth keeping an eye on."

Unaware to the royal family and their friend, Mzingo had been listening in the trees, ready to report this to his vultures and possibly the hyenas. Landing on the rock Zazu was originally sitting on, Mzingo devised a plan before taking off.

Simba - "It's things like this that almost make me wish I wasn't King."

Zazu - "Come now, Sire. It's really not as bad as all that."

Simba - "Having to say goodbye to an old friend in a language that I don't understand?"

Zazu - "Yes, this is an unfortunate duty."

Shani - "But there are so many amazing things you do, Simba! This is just the one of the negative ones."

Nala - "Actually, Zazu and Shani, I think Simba could use a little reminding."

Zazu - "Yes, of course!"

Nala - "That's more like it!"

Simba - "Yes! Thank you, Zazu. I do feel better now."

Zazu - "Wonderful, Sire! Now about your Elephantese accent."

Simba - "..."

Shani - "That didn't take long."

Fuli, Beshte, and Bunga were on their way to meet up with the twins for their patrol, and Beshte brought up the news of Kiara's acting role as the queen. Kion and Kia walked up to their friends, and only Kia was aware of her twin's annoyance at the situation. Ono flies ahead of all of them towards Pride Rock, leaving the rest of the Lion Guard confused.

Beshte - "Hey! Did you hear? Kiara is Queen of the Pride Lands!"

Bunga - "Yeah! It's un-Bunga-lievable!"

Fuli - "Eh, it was gonna happen eventually."

Beshte - "I'm sure she'll be a nice queen."
