34) Almost dying=Motivation

"How?"Korra asks.

"Zaheer doesn't know how many of us there are. So we have the numbers advantage. I say we split into two teams. Mako, Bolin, Sophie and Asami will take the airship up to the temple. Meanwhile, my metalbenders, Tonraq, Lin and I will get into position below Laghima's peak."Su explains and we all agree.

Soon the sun rises and we land on an open field.

The one part of the gang goes out while we stay on the ship.

Lin gives Mako a radio, "radio the second you see those airbenders."

"I will chief.Good luck" Mako promises.

Lin walks off the airship and I turn to Korra to give her a hug.

She hugs me tightly before hugging Asami.

"Be careful, Korra."Asami says and Korra says we must all stay safe too.

Korra gives Mako a tight hug and he hugs her back. Once she backs off Bolin starts crying on her shoulder.

I wish her good luck and go to start the airship. Once Asami tells me that everyone that has to get off is off, I start the airship and we fly off towards the northern air temple.

It takes us about a half an hour before I start to see the temple.

Once I get a closer look I feel my heart drop. The temple is in ruins even still smoking in certain areas.

"Mako do you see the airbenders?"Korra radios through.

"Not yet. We're just arriving. Don't turn yourself over until I get a visual on them."Mako reply's and Korra cuts the connection.

I land the airship with the help of Asami and Mako and Bolin secure it by two pillars.

I make sure to shut of a few things, making me the last one to arrive outside.

Ghazan approaches us and tells us to follow him.

We hesitate before he asks us," You want the airbenders or not?"

We follow him inside into a big room where all the airbenders are.

I see a lump of clothes on the floor and it takes me a second to recognise that it's Tenzin.

This is too easy.

The radio sounds again,"Mako. What's going on?"

"They're here but so is the lavabender."Mako says into his radio but we don't get a reply.

We just stand there for a minute before Zaheer speaks through a radio that they have her.

Ghazan let's us past and we make Tenzin sit up.

He slowly wakes up and starts panicking.

Bolin says that everything is okay but Tenzin is still mumbling something.

I feel a sensation in the back of my neck and look past Tenzin at the rest of the airbenders.

'Why aren't they saying anything?'I wonder as I stand up and walk closer to them.

"Sophie what are you-"Mako asks as he stands up but stops when the 'airbenders' melt into a big puddle of water.

We all gasp and Mako uses his fire bending too deflect one of her water strikes.

I deflect another one while Mako radios Korra that it was all a trick.

Mako throws the radio to the side and takes a fighting stance as Ming-hua jumps over our heads and next too Ghanzan.
