Winning her back

It been hours since Ranbir has asked prachi for forgiveness but he hasn't gotten any reply.
Maybe prachi now hates him.
The thought of prachi hating him made tears run down his cheeks.
His heart aches at this thought.
He really needed someone to talk to.
He went towards his mother's room.
He slowly knocks at the door.
Pallavi opens the door all dressed in her night robe.
She was preparing to sleep.
Pallavi had a sad smile on her face seeing Ranbir.
Ranbir knew his mom might send him away so he hug her as he cried in her arms.
Ranbir: I am sorry mom, i shouldn't have done that to prachi.
Pallavi felt touched by his tears.
She could feel her own eyes getting wet.
She brought him inside.
She made him put his head on her lap.
Ranbir: I am very sorry mom.
Pallavi: you shouldn't be telling me that. You should be saying that to prachi.
Ranbir: I tried to but she refused.
Pallavi: she is very hurt Ranbir. You broke her.
Ranbir: I am sorry. I thought Rhea loved me.
Pallavi: so Rhea also dumped you.

The next day, prachi is asleep.

She said sipping the tea.

She said still sipping at tea refusing to look at Ranbir.
Ranbir: have you had your bath?
Prachi: as you can see, I just woke up.
She said still looking everywhere except Ranbir.
Her tea cup was now empty but she still kept her lips close to the tea cup.
Ranbir: did you love the tea?
Prachi: no!
Ranbir: but mom made it.
Prachi: oh I love it it's delicious. Tell her I really appreciate it.
Ranbir: so you love the tea?
Prachi: yes
Ranbir: then you love the tea I make.
Prachi: what? But you don't know how to make tea?
Ranbir: I learnt it. So I could make one for you.
Prachi: oh
Ranbir: will you like us to play a game?
Prachi: it's morning and the nurse will be coming anytime soon.
Ranbir: but we could still have fun before she......
She cuts him off.
Prachi: I need to have a bath. Get out.
Ranbir: not until you enter the washroom
Prachi: get out!!
Ranbir: enter the washroom first.
Prachi just scoffs as she tried to stand.
She stands up but she just fell.
Ranbir caught her just in time.
They both stare into each other's eyes.
Ranbir: you can't even walk properly.
Prachi:leave me. Put me down now!!
Ranbir: if you say so.
He dropped her and she hit here ankle hard on the ground.
Prachi: ouch!!
She winced in pain.
Prachi: look what you did.
Ranbir: you asked me to put you down.
Prachi: I hate you.
Ranbir: no you don't.
Prachi just scoff as she tried walking to the bathroom.
Ranbir: let me help you.
Prachi: no my mom is coming to do that.
Ranbir: but she is not here now
Prachi: I will wait for her.
Ranbir: you are so stubborn let me help.
Prachi: so are you. I will be fine just leave.
Ranbir: fine.
Prachi: good.
He turns to leave.
Prachi: close the door behind you.
Just then he turns back.
He sweeps prachi off her feet and carried her to the washroom.
Prachi: put me down!! Help me help me !!!!!!
Ranbir: I am not kidnapping you.
Prachi: yes you are
Ranbir:you are so persistent.
Prachi just scoffs giving in.
Ranbir takes her into the washroom and comes out.
Ranbir: I will get you your clothes!
Prachi: just don't scatter my wardrobe!!
She yelled
He went to her wardrobe and opens it.
He wanted to pick clothes for her.
Ranbir: since I am wearing blue she should also wear blue too.
He picked a blue jean and a white crop top for her.
He searched deeper into the wardrobe searching for her jeweleries.
He saw the rock star doll; rocky.
He took the doll in his hands.

After all these years, prachi still kept this doll. She really loves me.
I wished I didn't reject her.

As he close the wardrobe, Abhi came into the room.
Abhi: what are you doing here?
Ranbir: I...I...was just helping prachi.
For the first time, he felt scared in front of Abhi.
Abhi: my daughter doesn't want to see you do just leave now!
Ranbir: but..
He was so scared.
He left the room.
Only if looks could kill, Ranbir could have died.
Pragya came in.
Pragya:what happened to Ranbir,he looked scared.
Abhi: he was here. If I see a scratch on prachi, I will kill him.

From the bathroom,
Prachi: Ranbir where are my clothes?
There was no answer.
Pragya passes her the clothes which Ranbir picked earlier.
Prachi: you don't even have a single sense of fashion.
She said as she comes out of the bathroom wearing the clothes.
Prachi: Ran.......
She stops seeing her parents.
Pragya helps her to her bed.
Abhi: what was ranbir doing here?
Prachi: he was just helping me.
Abhi: princess I don't want you close to him, he could hurt you.
Prachi:. But he has apologized.
Abhi: but that doesn't mean he loves you like you love him.
Pragya: Abhi, let her just give ranbir another chance. He has realized his mistake.
Abhi:I just don't want her to get hurt again.
Pragya: I know you care about her but can we just give Ranbir another chance.
Abhi: as long as he doesn't make her cry, if he does again I will arrest him.
Prachi giggled.
Pragya: I am happy that you are smiling again.
Abhi: it's been days.
Pragya: prachi, I hope you know that ranbir might not love you as you do.
Prachi: I know mom but I am happy that he has realized his mistake. Atleast if he doesn't love me I could be his best friend.
Abhi: I am glad that you are happy.
He said as they shared a group hug.

Ranbir is in his room thinking of a way to appeal Abhigya.
Ranbir: maybe I should buy them gifts or beg them.
He sits on his bed.
Ranbir: ahhhhh I don't know what to do. I have offended both parents and daughter. What do I do?
He ruffles his hair.
Prachi: hey baklu, I want ice cream.
Ranbir: what prachi how did you get here?
Prachi: I have croutches.
Ranbir: but you should be in bed resting.
Prachi: no I have been resting for weeks, now I want ice cream.
Ranbir: I will order for it let's go back to your room.
He walks towards her.

Prachi: no I want ice cream or else I won't talk to you again.
Ranbir: nope no ice cream until you are in bed.
Prachi: then I am not speaking with you again.
She said as she turns to leave but Ranbir carried her in his arms.
Prachi: put me down!
Ranbir: nope!
He carried her to her room.
He put her on her bed.
She pouted making him stare at her the more.
Ranbir put her hair at the back of her ear.
Prachi also stare back at him.
His hands went to her cheeks.
He caressed them.
She held his hand and brought it closer to her heart.
Her heart beats was faster.
Their faces were coming closer.
It was just an inch away from each other.
Ranbir felt warmth and comfort.
He captured her lips into a sweet kiss.
His hands trails to her back while her hands ruffles his hair.
He broke the kiss as they lost their breaths.
Ranbir looks at prachi but she just held her chest breathing heavily.
Ranbir: are you okay? Where is your inhaler? Am so sorry?
Prachi:. Am fine. I was just dumbstruck.
She said finally catching her breath with a hint of pink in her cheek.
Ranbir: I panicked.
Prachi: just relax.
Ranbir: take rest.
Prachi: not until you buy me ice cream.
Ranbir: no ice cream.
Prachi: cheat!
She jumped on his back.
Ranbir: what!! Get off you will fall.
Prachi: this is your punishment, you will piggy back me to the ice cream store.
Ranbir: really?
Prachi: yes.
She said as she smiles mischievously.
Ranbir: fine.
Ranbir spins around.
Ranbir: get down or you will fall.
Prachi: nope.
She raises her hands in the air as Ranbir spins around.
After a while, Ranbir collapsed on the bed.
Ranbir: you are so stubborn.
Prachi: you are so persistent.
She giggled.
Prachi: now ice cream!
She screamed like a little child.
Ranbir: fine!
He said standing up and walking to the door post.
Prachi: eehmmm Mr Kolhi forgetting something.
She said stretching her hand.
Ranbir: fine!
He carries her on his back.
Prachi: off to the icecream store.
She said putting her hands in the air as they left.
