"Okayy.. Good for you." Captain Man said
"Hey, why aren't you wearing a hairnet!?"
"Uh, lots of reasons. One--" Captain Man got cut off by the woman
"Shut up!"
"You know, I'm guessing you don't get invited to alot of parties." I chimed in
The lady rolled her eyes and walked away.
"Hey Captain Man, Captain Man." the The vice-mayor walked up to us
"Ah, yes, vice-mayor Willard." Captain Man followed him
I couldn't make out the rest of their conversation because I was with Kid Danger, serving food.
The same lady came back to us "Hey! Does this bread have gluten?"
"It's bread.. of course it has gluten.." I stared at her in disbelief
"Well I don't eat foods with gluten!"
"Then don't eat it." I spat out, trying my hardest not to lash out in public
"Okayyyy.. how about we calm down for a second?" Kid Danger held me back
I glared at him.
He quickly took his hand off my shoulder "Just trying to defuse the tension."
The lady huffed at before walking away as Kid Danger and I walked up to Captain Man
"What's the problem?" Kid Danger asked Captain Man
Captain Man sighed "I took this reporter out on a date last week and I told her I'd text her and I didn't."
"And here is Captain Man." The vice-mayor gestured to him
"Yeah, I see him." Evelyn spat out
"Hey- uh, look. I was gonna text you and--" Captain Man tried to explain
"But you didn't." Evelyn cut him off
"Evelyn--"
"I'm standing here inside city hall with Kid Danger and Danger Girl." Evelyn said
"And Captain Man." He added
"Kid Danger, Christmas question. If you went on a date with Danger Girl.."
"Wait what-" my eyes widened
"Oh, here it comes." Captain Man sighed
"And you promised to text her the next day, what would you do?"
"Can you not do this?" Captain Man whispered
Kid Danger glanced at me "I..I would text Danger Girl."
"Alright, alright, Evelyn. I'm texting you." Captain Man pulled out his phone "Alright, I'm texting you right now. Andd.. send."
