Me and Kid Danger walked in the city hall as the crowd started cheering for us.
Kid Danger stepped on stage and spoke into the mic "Good morning."
"Well, it's December twenty-fourth and that means.." I added
"Welcome to Captain Man's third annual Christmas breakfast!" we said in unison as the crowd applauded us
"You know, it's really great to--" An old lady cut me off
"Hey, shut up and feed us!"
My smile quickly dropped as I glared at her.
Kid Danger put his hand on my shoulder "Just a moment sir."
"I'm a woman!"
"Sorry, maam." he continued "And now, I present your handsome host.." Kid Danger read off the card
"The guy who paid for all this.." I continued
"Swellview's most important citizen, Captain Man." Kid Danger added
The crowd applauded loudly as Captain Man ran in.
"Thank you!" Captain Man said ad balloons fell from the ceiling "Yeah! I know, I know."
"Alright! Everybody get up here and taste the Christmas!" I gestured to the food on the table
"Here kids, put this on." Captain Man gave us each a hairnet
"Wha- no ew, I don't wanna wear a hairnet." Kid Danger protested
"Do you know how long it took to fix my hair?" I ask
"You guys have to wear one, you're serving food. It's city law."
"Alright." Kid Danger and I grabbed the hairnets
"We're doing this begrudgingly." I muttered as I put on my hairnet
"Hey, how come you're not wearing a hairnet?" Kid Danger turned to Captain Man
Captain Man chuckled "Lots of reasons. First, I'm Captain Man. Second, I'm very handsome and I do not wear hairnets."
"Hey, are these reindeer eggs locally sourced?" The woman from earlier asked
"Uhh, I-I don't know." Captain Man said
"Well, I won't eat eggs unless they're locally sourced!"
