1. Who is he?

When I get in my car, I grab my phone out of my bag.

I drive over to her house. After grabbing the key I unlock the door and walk in.

" Kayla I'm home!!! " I shout as I take my shoes off. I follow the smell of food into the kitchen.

" I feel like I don't see you anymore " she says hugging me.

" I know. I've been going to work and coming here is tha opposite direction of my house " I sigh. " I miss having you cook fa me. "

" I bet your buying off the dollar menu at McDonald's" she laughs.

" I actually am. That condo is hella expensive. I need mulla real quick "

" I told you to be a stripper with a body like yours "

"How's this? " she says feeding me.

" I don't even like shrimp but this shit is bomb " she smiles. I get the dishes out. She serves us. I take the plates to the living room. She follows behind with wine glasses and a bottle of wine in her hands. We begin eating and sipping.

" how's the house? "

" it's lonely and bare. I don't know what to do with it, they won't let me paint it or anything "

" shit it's yours do what you want "

" but then I don't have time. My next door neighbor likes yellin. You can't even hear tha other person. "

" are you sure they ain't arguing with themselves? " I laugh a little.

" I'm sure. "

" tell them to quieten the fuck down "

" you have no chill you know that right? I can't do that " I'm shy compared to Makayla.

" I know. What do you wanna watch "

" empire fa sure " she changes the channel over to empire.

We're woken up by the front door flying open.

" Chris come on please cooperate with me " I hear Aaron saying. I sit up and see Aaron trying to hold up a tall light skin nigga. Kayla drags herself off the sofa and goes over.

They make there way over to the stairs. The guy lays on the stairs. It's obvious he's intoxicated. " Chris get up please." Aaron asks.

" I'm fucking comfortable " he slurs. Aaron sighs before picking him up with Kayla's help. A few minutes later I hear voices.

" why he always gotta come here when he drunk? " I hear Kayla saying.

" he's like family to me and he always finds his way here instead of his own apartment " Aaron argues.

" Drew is his family and he lives down the road why can't he fucking go there "

" you know Drew would kill him if he woke up his kids "

" imma kill his ass if he keep coming here. Watch Robyn's Bajan ass make her way to our house tomorrow " I hear her footsteps coming down the stairs.

" I'm gonna go. I really gotta sort my house tomorrow "

" alright babe. "

" um.. Who's tha guy? "

" you serious? " I nod. " you'll figure it out soon enough " she says to me. I make my way out and get into my car. Kayla waves as I pull out her drive through at 1:23am.

I wake up in the morning to silence. Next door aren't screaming the building down today.

I open my fridge and grab some eggs. I spray my pan before scrambling them. I make some toast before sitting down at my make-do dining table.

Shopping with me later. I need a dining room for real - 10:40am, Natalia👑

I jump in the shower while playing some of Bow Wow's old songs. When I get out I wrap a towel around my body. I check my phone.

12:30? Meet you in town - Kayla💋

My girl always falls through for me. It's 11:30 right now. I put on black jeans and a white top. I then put on my black timberlands. I sit in my mirror and apply light makeup.

When I'm done getting ready I make my way to my car and drive over to town. I park beside Kayla. We walk into a furniture store.

" what's your theme "

" white and black. White sofa definitely. Ooo with a cream rug " we go over to the sofas. She sits on one.

" I don't like tha fabric " she stands up. We move over and she sits on a black one.

" I was serious when I said white sofa babes " she sighs standing up. She sits on a white leather sofa. It's plain but it's so chic. I sit on it beside her.

" you said I'd figure out who that guy was. Who is it? "

" Chris brown " it clicks in my head,

" oh Chris. Kylie and Kendall's friend "

" girl you really don't know who Chris brown is? "

" Aaron's cousin basically who has famous associates " she looks at me. She gets her phone out and plays "look at me now"

" Nuh girl you tripping. His music is hot. If I weren't in love with his cousin I'd be with him " I laugh but see that she's actually serious.

" anyway. I like this sofa. " she takes the sofa code and writes it down. We walk through the sofas.

" I like that sofa " I say. There's a white sofa with black. She scraps the code of the other one and puts this one down.

We move onto dining tables. I pick white chairs and a black table. We go to the rugs. I pick a cream rug for my living room and a black one to go under my dining table. With that I'm done.

" you need a living room table "

" it's called a coffee table and do I have to?"

" I'll buy it for you " shit okay. We go over and I pick a white coffee table. In total. In total I spent $2200.99. I paid $1300 upfront which means I got $900 to pay now.

" you rich now "

" my fridge is broke doe. Need to go shopping fa food "

" it's 4. I think I deserve some food "

" as long as you paying, the dollar menu is my favorite thing " I laugh. I take her to McDonald's and let her pick whatever she wants.
