Where's My Happy Ending? - Part 1

"Ate! Andito na si Kuya Julian! Ate! Huy! Open the door! Ateeeee!" Kanina pa katok ng katok 'tong si Greg.

"Wait lang Greg. Ate will be there in 5 minutes. Tell Kuya Julian, okay?"

"Ay, tagal naman. Okay, I'll tell him."  Sabay narinig ko ng bumaba si Greg, sabay sigaw nung pinapasabi ko kay Julian. 

It was the first day of advanced-lesson classes for us in-coming Fourth year students. Every year, laging required ang mga in-coming fourth year students sa school namin to take this class. I was really excited for this. I think mas makakatulong 'to para mas madali kaming maka-cope up. Actually, it will just be a 2-week class. Kasi mabilis lang naman id-discuss sa amin. Every quarter, a subject contains two divisions. Kaya, idi-discuss lang yung mga divisions na yun. Then, bibigyan lang kami siguro ng mga exercise per subject. 

I went down to see Julian playing with Greg and Jonathan. As usual, play station ang inatupag. "Huy Julian Emilio Vitug Estrada!" Napalingon sa akin si Julian with a cheeky smile on his face. "Wait, what?" "Uh, let's go? Baka mamaya malate pa tayo niyan! Si Sr. Ramones pa naman proctor natin. Alam mo naman yun." I told him, trying to fix some of my brother's toys. "Huh, yun pa proctor natin? Oh great. Oh siya. One last level, please?" Ayan nanaman yung puppy eyes ni Julian. Hmm, please! I'm not going to consider that today! "Tara na Jul! Ayoko malate, let's just make a good impression naman this year."  Biglang binitawan ni Jul yung joystick sabay tayo. "Fine, fine. I promised you I will. You happy now, Mykalog?"  Bigla akong natawa sa sinabi niya. Wala na, sira na yung seryoso face ko! 

"Yan, very good Mr. Estrada! Now, off we go. Bye boys!"  In chorus, nag b-bye na sa aking yung mga brothers ko. Pero nakatutok pa din yung mata sa game nila. Oh well, boys will be boys. Hinatid na kami ni Manong Jun sa campus. Kahit si Manong Jun, mukhang excited na excited ulit kami ihatid. "Ah, ma'am Myka, anong oras ko po kayo susunduin?"  Mang Jun finally broke the awkward silence in the car. "Ah, Mang Jun, di na po muna ako mag papasundo. Dadaan pa po kasi ako ng bookstore mamaya."  Biglang napatingin sa akin si Jul. "What?"  "Don't tell me isasama mo nanaman ako? I'm lazy, remember that!"  I rolled my eyes over him. "Excuse me, I didn't say I will bring you. Not unless, you insist."  I hear murmuring from Julian. Hay, one point! Heto nanaman ang classic Julian Estrada. The pikon kind of best friend. 

We were just in time for registration when we arrived the campus. Julian was still listening to a couple of music on his iPod while walking through the registration office. When we reached the office, a couple of girls started to look past our direction. "Hi Julian!"  A tall-petit long-haired girl greeted Julian. Her hair was long and her smile was really pretty. Wow, famous girl campus alert! "Uh, Hey Julia!"  and all of a sudden, nabuhay ang diwa ni Julian Estrada! I knew this girl from last year. She was always the winner of every pageant last year, despite of her being a newbie. Before Junior year finally came to and end, Julian's courage finally manned up and he tried to court Julia. The Julia Barretto. What a surprise, right? Barretto... Hmm, family of celebrities! Yup, she's part of the famous kids in the campus! 

"How are you? I never got to hang-out with you na! I really should text you more often! Well, sino ba proctor mo?"  Even with they way Julia spoke, she was surely a pretty girl. I came to look at Julian who couldn't stop smiling. "Si Sr. Ramones! How about you, who's your proctor?"  Julia tried to look for her registration paper and pulled it out from her pocket. "Ah, Sr. Santiago! Woops, too bad! I thought we were classmates. Oh well, see you around!" Julia did a little goodbye gesture to Julian then to me. I was atonished. Akalain niyo yun, nag b-bye din yung isang Barretto sa akin? Haha!
