“Jang Daeho. Small-time arms supplier trying to push into Busan,” Taesan replied, voice calm.
I chuckled darkly.
“Daeho should’ve known better.”
I pulled out my custom Glock — sleek, matte black, modified with a silencer.
The traitor’s eyes widened. He began to cry.
“Please, Boss… I’ll fix it. I swear—”
“Fix it?”
I stepped in front of him, tilted my head slightly.
“You already broke it.”
And then I looked him dead in the eye.
“You don’t betray the Jeons. Not and live to talk about it.”
Bang.
The shot was clean, sharp, final.
Blood sprayed against the floor as his head slumped forward, lifeless.
I turned to Taesan.
“Leave the body outside their base. Let Daeho’s men find it. Make sure they know what happens to rats.”
Taesan nodded silently, the message loud and clear.
I walked out without looking back.
My empire didn’t run on mercy.
It ran on fear, power… and blood.
And right now, the only thing softening the storm in me was the image of her — my Yn, my calm in chaos.
It was insane how just one night of meeting her had turned my whole world on its head.
I knew it was wrong to invade her privacy like this…
But love didn’t wait for permission. And obsession? That was never polite.
I wanted to see her again.
So, I decided I’d wait for her after class.
I arrived fifteen minutes early and parked behind the car I assumed was hers — her driver already standing beside it. And then I saw her.
Casual clothes. Simple and beautiful. My heart skipped a beat.
“Miss Yn!” I called out.
She turned, surprised.
“Oh! Hi, Mr. Jeon. I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“I had some work nearby and thought I’d at least say hello.”
I tried to keep my voice casual, but inside I was nervous like a damn teenager.
“It’s nice seeing you again,” she said with that sweet smile of hers.
“Would you mind joining me for a coffee?”
She hesitated. For a moment, I feared she’d say no.
“Mr. Jeon, that’s very kind of you, but I really should get home… maybe another time?”
She looked apologetic, and I wasn’t ready to let her go.
“It’s just coffee. There’s a great little place nearby. Won’t take long, I promise.”
I studied her expression — still unsure. So I tried again.
“I’d really appreciate it if you came, Miss Yn.”
She sighed, then nodded.
“Alright, Mr. Jeon. Let me inform my driver.”
Victory. Sweet, soft victory.
I opened the car door for her and she stepped in. I was on cloud nine.
While driving, I couldn’t help sneaking glances at her. Her hair fluttered in the wind, and she kept tucking it behind her ear. She looked like a dream.
I focused on the road and took her to a cozy little café. It wasn’t really my style — but she liked places like this, and that’s all that mattered.
We took a seat by the window. A waitress came over to take our order.
“Order whatever you’d like, Miss Yn,” I offered.
“I’ll have a caramel latte, please.”
The waitress turned to me — already trying to flirt. I shut it down fast.
“An espresso,” I replied coldly, making it clear I wasn’t available.
Yn was fiddling with her fingers, unsure of what to say. I found it adorable.
So I broke the silence.
“How are your studies going, Miss Yn?”
“I’m doing fine, Mr. Jeon. What about your work?”
She was being polite. Sweet. Nervous.
“I’m good too. But let’s drop the formalities, shall we?” I smiled. “Can I call you Yn?”
She blinked.
“I—um, I’m fine with whatever you’re comfortable with, Mr. Jeon.”
“Then it’s Jungkook. Call me Jungkook.”
“Okay… Jungkook,” she said softly.
God, I wanted to hear her say my name again.
We talked casually while sipping our drinks. She seemed to enjoy hers, which made me oddly happy. The moment felt… peaceful.
But soon she glanced at her watch.
“Jungkook, I should get going.”
I didn’t want her to leave.
“Let me drop you home.”
“No worries. I already called my driver. He’s here. It was really nice meeting you.”
I respected her decision, even if it killed me a little. Not right now but soon I will be claiming all my rights on her.
“Glad to see you again, Yn. Take care.”
She walked away — then turned back and gave me a smile.
That smile. Those dimples.
I was so whipped for this girl… and she had no idea. She had no idea what was coming.
