─── EIGHT, DEADPOOL

Start from the beginning

"Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's lake house. Scott and Argent found him outside his car, decapitated. And then last night, 23-year-old Carrie Hudson." Scott added on.

"It's all about the dead pool. A hit list of supernatural creatures." Riley commented.

Scott carefully placed the piece of paper that Lydia had printed out from her computer onto the Sheriff's office desk. He knew that this was just a piece of the puzzle, and there was more to be unraveled.

"This is only a fragment of the information," Scott interjected, his tone filled with determination. "The rest of it still needs to be decoded. We can't fully understand the message until we have all the pieces."

"The code was broken with a keyword. It was a name." Stiles told the Sheriff.

"What name?"

"Boyd." Scott revealed. "His name broke a third of the list. And now we think there's two other cipher keys."

"Which will give us the rest of the names. But how do you know there's 2 cipher keys and not 3 or even more?" the Sheriff asked.

"Because there's a limit. Because of the numbers next to the names. We think that once we decode the other lists, the numbers will add up to 117 Million." Stiles answered.

Riley picked up a pen and began annotating the numbers with 'K' and 'M'. Those exceeding 100 were valued at either 200 or 500 thousand dollars, while the rest were deemed to be worth more than a million.

"117 million dollars stolen from the Hale vault and is being used by someone to finance all these murders," Scott added.

"Someone who wants every supernatural in Beacon Hills dead." Riley stated.

BOTH Riley and Scott could seen entering Scott's room hand in hand. Having just informed the Sheriff about the dangerous Deadpool, Scott turned to Riley and invited her to stay the night. Riley wanted to tell him the details of all that had unfolded in New Orleans the previous week.

He had informed her of everything she had missed since she was away including him recruiting a new beta. A sophomore named Liam Dunbar, who had quite a temper and didn't exactly grasp the concept of his new lifestyle. Though he's slowly getting there.

Riley slumped down onto Scott's bed, overwhelmed by the events that transpired. "I don't even know where to begin," she sighed.

Sitting down next to her, Scott proposed, "How about starting with the diner?"

Riley hummed, recalling everything that Tyler had informed her about Klaus. The blonde then began to reveal the extraordinary family she had discovered when she arrived at New Orleans.

Her voice filled with excitement as she described her uncle Elijah, her aunt Rebekah, and her aunt Freya. She spoke of her brother Nathan, who had a family of his own - his wife Gabriella, their daughters Cassie and Laura, and their son Elliot. The mere knowledge of this extended family was overwhelming, but Riley couldn't help but feel a sense of longing and curiosity.

However, Riley confessed that despite meeting her father, she hadn't learned much from him directly. Her father's actions, however, had taught her invaluable lessons. She explained to Scott how her father had betrayed the entire family, sacrificing their trust to protect Riley from the clutches of her evil great aunt, Dahlia.

As she continued on, Riley couldn't help but admire her father's unwavering determination to shield those he loved. His willingness to go to extreme lengths resonated deeply with her, stirring a mix of emotions within her heart.
