Chan's POV:
"Chan?"
We both took small steps towards one another before we embraced each other, both laughing like idiots. I felt like the final piece of the puzzle that I lost was ultimately found.
"You go here? How come I've never seen you here before?" I asked, completely immersed in his presence.
"I didn't go here freshman year, but my family moved from Incheon to Seoul and thought it would be better to transfer here," Jisung explained.
I had a stupid grin on my face while still in disbelief. "I'm stoked you're here, honestly. I can't wait to introduce you to the group, but only if it's ok with you."
"Honestly, I need to meet people and make friends," he admitted, "I hope they're as cool as you made them seem while chatting online."
I quickly bowed to the administrator as Jisung and I left the building. On our way to the dining hall, we caught up on each other's lives since we hadn't been in contact for a couple months. I was always hoping that I would be able to meet him in person instead of over a video call, which is why I was so excited to actually witness him in front of me.
Jisung and I met through an online music program when I was fourteen, where we were able to meet and discuss all things music with like-minded thinkers. He immediately stood out to me once I realized his incredible talents and how similar we were to each other - we were like peanut butter and jelly, music being the bread that bound us together. Over the last six years, we've communicated every so often, both having the same dream of creating a group that would possibly debut one day.
"So, you said that Seungmin and Jeongin are vocals, and Hyunjin, Felix, and Minho are dancers?" Jisung asked, double checking his facts before he meets the rest of the group.
"Yes, and Changbin raps."
"But they can all pretty much rap, dance, and sing as well?" he awed.
I reassured him. "Yes, but don't sell yourself too short there, Jisung. You've pretty much got it all in the bag too."
As we walked up the steps, a sudden thought caused my smile to fade. I shook my head as I made the decision to trust my head, not my heart, and not tell Jisung about Yeosin. I think I already started digging my grave long before Jisung arrived, especially since I've never mentioned him to her before. I'm not completely sure how she will react, but I hope that she will be as gracious as she was when she met Seungmin and Jeongin.
I led Jisung to the back corner of the dining hall and the rest of the group turned their heads towards us. I noticed Jisung's composure change slightly as he made eye contact with the other six heads at the table. Yeosin was in class for the rest of the day, so she wasn't able to come.
I cleared my throat. "Guys, meet Jisung, he's new to the group."
There was a small silence before Felix stood up.
"Hey Jisung! Nice to meet you! Would you like to sit down?" Felix asked as he offered to take his backpack. I smiled softly as I patted Jisung on the back.
A little flustered, Jisung answered, "U-uh, yeah sure."
Taking his seat at the end of the table, the rest of the group slowly introduced themselves. Fortunately, we started up normal conversations about how boring classes were and what we were going to do over the weekend.
Introduce Jisung to the group? Part one, complete. Part two, however, is going to be much more difficult. Introducing Jisung to Yeosin.
