he smiles holding my hand as we walk downstairs, I smile seeing Cabir walking to the couch rubbing his eyes. everyone was there, ma and mumma were also up siting on the couch.
"Good morning mumma" I whisper bending down to touch his mom's feet
"Nandini beta I told you that you don't ever need to touch my feet, give me hug girl" she says pulling me in a hug
"But aren't I supposed to mhm"
"No, you don't touch anyone's feet" manik says interrupting me
I look at my mom who smiles nodding so I nod as well walking over to mom hugging her then Cabir patted the spot beside him on the couch but I wasn't sure if I could sit there you know respect and all
"Come here Nandini" manik says
I look in his eyes and he nods so I sat in between him and cabir
"Dude it is so early" Cabir says
"Dude I know, it's almost 2 and you haven't even ate, aren't you depressed" I giggle knowing he loves food
"Damnnn girl I knew you are my best friend, you always get me but you know my wife isn't here today so who is going to make food" he mumbles
"Your wife?" I ask
"Yes Sheena aunty, she is the cook" I couldn't help but laugh but as soon api realized ma and nyonika mamma were also there I stopped
"Nandini already made food" manik says
"Ahh I love you nadnini you are the best" Cabir yells running to the kitchen
"He is going to mess up everything, I will serve it" nyo ma says
"Wait mumma, it's okay. I will serve it you sit" I say getting up
"Nandu sit down, sudha and I need to talk to you anyways so stay" she says
"It's okay sit Nandini, we will be right back" my mom says as she and nyonika ma get up and walk to the kitchen
I was starting to chew on my nails being worried, I wanna help and I should right but then what if they get angry at me but then if I don't go help won't they think I am disrespectful and bad
"Stop chewing on them bacha, it's okay, they aren't upset at you" manik say grabbing my hand pulling it away from my lips stopping me from chewing on my nails
i don't why but when he calls me bacha I calm down instantly or even wifey, not just that, his voice is calming
"But I should help them, I want to help but they said to sit idle and I am freaking out. What if it's a bad conversation about how bad I am for not being respectful" I mumble
he put his phone down and grabs my chin turning it to me
"You are overthinking wifey, they is nothing of that sort going on"
"then why did they ask me to sit" I ask
"It's because they know you must be tired from making all the food" he says
"But manik"
"But Nandini" he mimics my voice making me pout
he chuckles a little sitting back
"Relax bacha it's nothing. Just relax" he says
A second later both he mom's and Cabir come out with food placing it on the table, my nerves were acting up so I don't say anything, I couldn't even eat, I was so scared
"Nandini eat" mumma says
I look up at her but I didn't know what to say
"Whats wrong?" She asks
i didn't say anything I just shook my head at her
"Ma what was the thing you guys wanna talk about?" Manik asks
"They are cancelling their girls trip" Cabir says like no big deal
I literally gasped because ma and mumma have been planning it for a long time and I told mumma she should because I will be married and she doens't have to worry about me at all
"why?" I ask
"Because"
"No, you two aren't cancelling anything. There is literally no reason to cancel anything, why are you guys thinking about cancelling it?" Manik asks
"It's because everything that happened was so out of the league and not planned at all" nyonika ma says
"Okay and?" He asks
"And what? We need to be here to handle things" my mom says
"Ma both of you deserve the trip and nothing has happened that requires you two to miss out on the trip" manik tells them
they looked at each other and then back at us
"If you guys are worrying about Nandini then don't, she is my wife and I will make sure she is okay and happy. You guys can go have fun on your trip while cabir nandini and I have parties in the house" he jokes making me smile a little
Both our moms chuckles hearing him
"So you want the house empty to party?" His mum asks
"Yes mother"
"you are a married man now, don't act like a stupid teenager"
"So don't act like Cabir?" He asks making cabir whine a bit as he throws a pillow at manik making him laugh
"Cabir would like to add to this conversation and say suhda aunty and miss nyonika go on your trip" cabir says making me chuckle
"Ma go on this trip and I promise everything will be okay here" manik says
"You sure?" Ma asks
"Yes, and don't treat this marriage as imperfect, we both are married and we are adults so we will figure everything out but also don't expect it to be all giggly and fancy over night. Nandini and I have talked and we are both going to give our 100% to this relationship" manik says holding my hand
I look over to our moms to see if they are okay if him holding my hand.
They both got up and walk over to us hugging us both kissing both our head too before sitting back down
"I am jealous, I want some love too" cabir says going to them and getting a few kisses on his cheeks making manik and I both giggle
"We are very happy for you two" both our moms said at the same time
"Lets finish eating and then you two need to head out" manik says
We all ate and then my mom and I had a very serious conversation about how she was sorry that aman left but I made sure to assure her of my future with manik because I know both him and I will work on this together.
