"How is it?" I asked.

"Did you do all of this? For me?" she self-sabotaged quietly.

"I don't see why anyone wouldn't," I responded with a small smile.

I took the time to look at her properly. She didn't have any makeup on. Her eyes were brighter from the golden lights. More beautiful at this time too. She comes in to hug me herself. So softly that I felt like I would melt into her arms and stick to her forever.

"This is beautiful. Really beautiful," she smiles softly looking at the setup again.

"So are you," I compliment, seeing the flush of red appear along her freckles beautifully.

She escaped my warmth and turned away from me, shyly. I sat down on the picnic mat and so did she.

"Now let's do this again," I said handing her the knife.

As she took it to the middle of the cake, my voice started singing for her beautifully. She adored it, I could tell that she did. I watched her cut the cake and take the piece to my mouth for a bite. Gently, I took it after her hands and gave her a bite of it.

"Happy birthday, darling," I wished once again.

"Thank you, darling," she laughs cutely with a smile.

She picks up the strawberry cut in half on the cake and hands me one half. We had always shared the half of strawberries. It just made sense to.

"I'm always going to share my half strawberries with you," I tell, even though she already knows.

"I think I'm going to always like that," she responded back with some sassy blinks.

After a few drinks and some minutes of staring at the waves hitting the shore, I held her hand out of the picnic mat.

"You've always wanted to dance on the beach along the wind with a piano played in the back, right?" I reminded which made her gasp loudly.

"You learnt the piano?" she questions so surprised as if I wouldn't reach the ends of the earth for her.

"For you," I added flirtatiously.

She watched me sit down on the stool, spreading my fingertips along the tiles. I had a song I was going to sing for her whilst I watched her move along the wind. After the first few notes, she had spread her arms and closed her eyes.

"Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining," I sang softly focusing on her.

"Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying," my voice continues as she opens her eyes and walks towards the piano.

I can see the refusal she holds in her eyes. She refused to dance alone because she wouldn't know how to.

"She's so beautiful, and I tell her every day," I continue as she leans her arms onto the piano, plastering the sweetest smile on her face.

The wind gushed through her hair and she looked so effortlessly gorgeous trying to place them. It was like falling in love with her all over again. These loving glances she gave me made my heart race uncontrollably.

"When you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while," the lyrics make her smile wider.

I mean all these to you Liya. All these years you've spent, disgusting yourself. You were never disgusting my love. There's nothing disgusting about you.

Everything about you is made to be loved. I was starting to drown in her eyes which showed the heart fluttering she felt in her heart.

She felt something for me and I was lucky she did. Because now I didn't want to waste a moment in having her apart from me. I wanted her to feel the love I had for her in my heart. She walked around the piano once I was done with the song and pressed a few keys.

"Why don't you become a singer too?" she suggested pressing another key playfully.

"I only like singing for you," I blinked looking up at her.

She doesn't respond to my compliment, but rather turns back to the piano and plays with the keys lightly. I get off the stool and make her sit down on it. Having my body positioned behind her, my arm aligned with hers.

"Luka," she softly calls, feeling her heart race at my closeness.

I guide her fingertips along mine and play a serene melody for the next few minutes. She turns her head to look at me and I look down at her but our fingers do not stop.

"Dance with me," she says, cutting the melody.

"I'm going to make sure you don't forget this," I spoke close to her face.

"I don't want to forget anything about you," she responded so cooingly, making me love her even more.

I took her hand in mine and guided her out, away from the piano. With one hand on her waist, our feet moved together near the shore. Our eyes were locked together with each step, not wanting to leave the gaze of the other.

Taking both her hands in mine, we move back and in, left and right before I spin her against the wind that accompanies us like a song. Her dress blew softly against her and so did my shirt.

Everything was perfect right now. This moment between us is perfect and I wish it just froze so I could cherish it for eternity.

"I never thought I'd get to experience this," she spoke once I had taken her into my arms again with both our feet just moving now.

"You're going to experience so much love, Liya. Because you deserve it. It's what you're made for," I look directly into her eyes with purity.

Her feet stop moving and so do mine. My lips move up to her temple and place a light kiss on her forehead whilst she processes my words. Her eyes remained closed as if this was a dream for her and she didn't want to wake up. I wrap my arms around her body and feel the breeze hit the both of us.
