Carter Arts University is a sitcom following the life of a sheltered Yarnise Jones as she attends the fictional college of the arts CA and the friends she meets along the way. She learns that there is more out there for her than music.
Yarni sits at a table and she's opening her laptop while also looking at a text message on her phone. Jimmy brings a cup of juice.
JIMMY- How are you on the phone and laptop at the same time?
Yarni laughs.
YARNI- it's not that hard and I'm putting my phone down.....(still looking at her phone) now. (Still holding the phone) I mean really now....Maley just sent me the funniest meme.

Jimmy walks away. Yarni goes back to her laptop.
Yarni screams.
Dave and Tevin enter.
TEVIN- What happened?
Yarni talks a selfie showing her computer screen. It reads: Congrats you've been accepted into a fellowship at Authentic Empire Music Group.
YARNI- I got into my fellowship!
DAVE- the one at the record company?
Yarni smiles.
YARNI- Yes. Ah I need to figure out what I'm gonna wear.
DAVE- I'm so proud of you.
Dave hugs her and Yarni kisses him. Both of them are shocked.
YARNI- Oh.
DAVE- We haven't done that since.
YARNI- Yeah...I'll see you.
DAVE-(awkward) Yeah.
YARNI- Bye Tevin.
TEVIN- Well goodbye and congrats.
Yarni rushes off.
TEVIN- What the hell just happened here?!
DAVE- Me and Yarni kinda put the breaks on things since that party.
TEVIN- and by breaks you mean?
INT. DAVE AND TEVINS DORM - FLASHBACK
Dave and Yarni are on Dave's bed making out.
DAVE- This is so....this is great.
Yarni smiles.
YARNI- it is.
DAVE- Yarni I dreamed about being here with you since the day I met you....and now we're here and I just wanna say.
Yarni looks at him her eyes full of hope but then there's a KNOCK at the door.
DAVE- Who the hell-
YARNI- (smiling) ignore it what was you about to say?
