MIND

In this hi-tech, stressful, task-juggling world, we human beings manage the incredible feat of surviving 24/7 for decades, but every now and then, we topple. Stress is not just a feeling, it's a chemical reaction that can affect our lives.

This booklet provides the tools needed to help survive stress and prevent it from happening again.

Having said that, toppling is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. It helps us get rid of the dross in our lives.

I'm old, I consider myself a tough cookie, an independent woman, a protector of others. But a while ago, I ran afoul to allowing work stress to build without keeping it in check, resulting in burnout. I had no idea that this was a thing.

It was a harrowing experience. I didn't know where to turn.

I researched, rebuilt, adopted a few simple lifestyle tweaks, and am now back on track, in control, stronger, happier, and making positive changes. I'm in love with life again.

Not wanting others to go through the same, I've collated the intel I sourced and placed it here, to act as an MOT reminder for me, and to help others.

I'm not a qualified general practitioner, it's always best to visit a doctor or therapist, but this information may help work alongside a GP. Knowledge is power.

Ignored, chronic stress can lead to sadness, anxiety, mental exhaustion, depression, self-harm, or suicide.

So, let's be aware, take control, and kick the stress into touch, for us and our loved ones.

✔️ Over 30% of the population have mental health issues at some stage in their lives - children, students, and adults.

✔️ Maybe it's time to start teaching the value of managing stress in schools.
