If you are reading this (which obviously you are), my name is Mide and here's my book called "Blood". I just want to say thank you for choosing this book and adding it to your reading list/library and I hope you stick by.

That being said, this chapter is about the synopsis, warnings and playlists (or songs that I feel will match the mood of this chapter) plus the characters.

synopsis

Someone is out for her...
It has been five years since the Integration, an event when the vampire world had made its existence known to the human world, and accompanied by the event are the growing reports of missing women dominating the news headline.

He is out for blood like a predator on the prowl
Imani Valdez just wants to rebuild her life after a tragedy and battle with depression and she seems to be doing well with that but, who is that vampire who keeps on showing in her dreams and why is he there? Her world gets turned upside down when she finds out that she has a target on her back. Even worse, she has to place her life in the hands of a vampire who despises her kind and is somehow her soulmate.

He loves her for everything he hates her for
Ares Stavros swore himself to lifelong enmity with humanity after they hurt him centuries ago, why does his long anticipated soulmate have to be a part of the species that hurt him? He could try all in his power to hate her but the fact that her life is in danger has him reluctantly take on his role to protect her from danger. Maybe it is the pull of their bond or maybe he likes her a little more than he'd admit to himself.

If you have read previous books from me, both on my old account and on this one, let me just warn you, this is going to be different than my previous books. There is a reason why this is rated mature (or at best, 16+)

- awkward dialogues, but i try my best, mes amis

okay, let's get serious about the warnings...
- violence

- swearing/ strong language

- suggestive scenes and dialogue

- kidnapping

- mental illnesses like depression, anxiety and PTSD

- blood: being that this is a vampire story

- the male main character is an asshole but I swear he'll get better as the plot advances

- age gap given that one of the characters involved is a human and the other a vampire. that being said, both characters are adults

- not a warning per se but this is a story that features an interracial couple, specifically a BWWM (black woman white man) couple. said black woman is brown skin/dark skin (depending on what y'all call it these days 😭😭😭). if you have a problem with that, I will gladly show you the door.

- I also want to add that there would be religious themes especially in regards to Christianity in this story. no, this is not a Christian story but some of the characters are going to have faith play some role in their actions and beliefs. if you are uncomfortable with that, this is the part where you hit the back button.
