So this is what they meant,
No, I can't pretend
This time,
It took me by surprise
Because I pictured a life
Where it was you always by my side,
But now that what has happened, happened,
It doesn't seem so dramatic
If I fall apart again,
I just hope the love alive in me won't end.
So I hope you're happy,
That your fulfillment is lasting…
I'll always keep you in my prayers at night
Even if we weren't right,
I'll always love you
Whether my heart or not remains in two,
Because this is yet another lesson in life that won't ever be fair...
