'Two kisses' that's what Narda thought when she looked at Regina at her office table working on some papers as she always does. When the famous attorney confessed to her while drunk she didn't take it seriously, but it made her happy nonetheless
"You can take a picture love, it'll last longer," Regina said not looking at Narda but at the paperwork, she was working on. Narda wiggled in her seat trying to hide the embarrassment of being caught
'Wait... ano daw? Love?' she realized what Regina said which made her look at her again searching for something that would tell her she heard it right
"Love?" she tried to assure herself but the attorney looked at her with confusion
"I told you I love you right? or do you think I'm joking 'cause I got a little tipsy the other night?" its a question but its also a statement on Regina's part
'Mukhang hindi naman siya nagbibiro' she thought but she hasn't answered Regina yet
The attorney sighed, she looked at Narda and she knows that the emt is struggling to put her thoughts out
"I'm not expecting you to love me back Narda, all I want is to let me love you the way I know how"
Narda is still quiet, it's like they are talking as an employer and employee about how far their distance is but the heaviness of their conversation is what makes it different. Regina is not talking about business or the foundation but their feelings and this is how they do it, like a meeting in her office. She can't help but giggle at the thought
"What's so funny?"
"Eh kasi ang seryoso mo tapos anjan ka pa sa table, para mo kong client"
Regina smiled, so she stood up and walked towards Narda, the EMT's eyes followed her every movement, and then she stopped in front while Narda is looking up with those puppy brown eyes at the gorgeous attorney who is looking down
"Is this better?" Regina smiled, Narda nods and held her hand, and the attorney sat beside her
"Narda I know this is too sudden, pero hindi ko na itatago ang feelings ko para sayo, I want you to know..."
"Shhh... Oo Regina, malinaw na malinaw, hindi mo na need mag explain" Narda smiled her blinding smile which made Regina mirror it
"Alam mo ba na mahal din kita?" there was a lump in Narda's throat she tried to swallow because even though they are talking about their feelings, she is still a little bit embarrassed to say it out loud, that's why there's a deep blush brewing on her cheeks
Regina's world stopped, yes they'd kissed twice, and they went on a date, but never did she expect that her feelings are being reciprocated. All her life she's chasing someone to love her, especially her father, and now the most important person in her life also loves her back, she can't hold back her tears, and her heart is exploding
"Regina, bakit ka umiiyak?" Narda eyed her worriedly, she brushed away the tears on Regina's cheeks and kissed them, the attorney closed her eyes as she let herself feel the warmth of Narda's lips while her tears still fall endlessly
"Masaya lang ako, Narda, masaya dahil anjan ka" Narda gave her the warmest smile, she hesitated but she did gather her courage to say what she needed to say
"Regina... Love... will you be my girlfriend?" Regina's face beamed, she held both Narda's cheeks, she went closer getting the whiff of her fresh scent perfume, she plants her lips on her softly, both of them moving together at their synchronized pace, when they need to breathe for some air they separate with eyes opening slowly. Regina trail her nose on Narda's face memorizing it while planting small soft kisses before she let go and looked at her straight in her eyes
