It's Nueva Esperanza's Town Fiesta, Narda is very excited because there will be a lot of programs and foods that she likes to go to. Too bad Regina couldn't come early because she still has a case to attend to but she promised Narda that she'll follow
Luna, Narda's cousin came to Nueva Esperanza to enjoy the festivities, the three Custodios walked hand in hand, smiling and laughing together
"Ate Luna, marami tayong kakainin ngayon kasi si Ate Narda ang taya!" Ding nudged Luna and the two of them are already plotting their strategy to conquer the palamig and turo-turo stalls
"Oi, kayong dalawa baka naman ubusin nyo baon natin, kung ano ano bilhin nyo"
"Ate naman, minsan na nga lng ako dumalaw sa inyo eh, pagbigyan mo na kami ni Ding" sabay ngisi ni Luna, napairap na lang si Narda and the two giggled
"Hay nako ka Ding, pati si Luna dinadamay mo sa kalokohan mo eh"
"Sorry na ate" sabay ngisi ni Ding at nag lambing
They ate a lot that day and watch the variety of shows that the mayor prepared for the people. Narda keeps looking at her watch just to know what time it is, Regina said she'll follow but she didn't say what time. The event schedule will last until the wee hours of the evening so there's no worry if ever Regina got busy during the day.
"Huy teh, kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin sa relo mo, bakit gusto mo na ba umuwi? Ate naman wag muna, may banda pa mamayang gabi, ngayon na nga lang kami makakakita ng sikat na banda dito sa Nueva Esperanza tapos mag aaya ka pa umuwi dyan"
"Maghunos dili ka Ding, wala akong sinabing uuwi, may hinihintay ako" she said sabay irap sa kapatid
"Oh ayan na pala hinihintay mo ate eh" biglaang sabi ni Ding sabay kaway
Tumibok ang puso ni Narda ng mabilis, lilingon na sana siya ng may malaking ngiti sa labi ng biglang nagsalita ito
"Narda, andito din pala kayo" bago pa man siya makalingon ay bigla na lang siyang napasimangot ng si Brian pala ang tinutukoy ni Ding
"Ah, oo kasi etong pinsan kong si Luna napadalaw para makisaya samin"
"Ganun ba, sige maiwan ko muna kayo at naka duty ako ngayon para magbantay, enjoy lang kayo" bilin ni Brian
"Ingat po kayo," they said in unison
They didn't know that Regina already arrived, na witness niya yung interaction nila with Brian which spiked up her jealousy again. She approached Narda, sneaked up behind her back, and tapped her shoulder
"Ay! Kabayo!" nagulat ng bongga si Narda but paglingon niya, nakita niya ang medyo nakasimangot na Regina, but in Narda's mind and heart she's so happy that the person who's running in her mind all day finally arrived
"Regina!" Narda jumped to hug Regina excitedly, and every bad feeling including jealousy suddenly vanished, she was glad that she finished her cases early today, and knowing this bubbly girl is excited to see her, she can't help but smile and lean into the hug
"Buti naman dumating ka na" Narda smiled so widely
"I wouldn't miss this if it can make you this happy" Regina said with the softness that she only reserves for Narda
They had fun, eating kwek kwek in the stall that sells it, after they ate, Regina being an extra, paid for the whole food kart and gave the rest of the food to the people at the venue for free. Narda being a softie for these gestures of Regina just stared at her while Regina is talking to the townspeople and saying welcome to those who thanked her. One thing she liked about Regina is she has a big heart for people in need, she's thankful that this person may she be rich, powerful and hard to reach was able to be her friend... friend?
'Is she just a friend?'
"Oh, nakatitig ka?" ngiting sabi ni Regina
"W-Wala, minsan naaamaze kasi ako sayo eh, ang bait bait mo kasi" she stuttered
"Ano ka ba, ako lang to," she said while swiping her hair and laughed
Narda didn't know that Regina's carefree attitude at the moment would make her heart skip a beat. She clutched her heart
'Ito na ba yun? In love na ba ko kay Regina?'
