"i love you." hyein was stunned not prepared to hear those three words. she blinked slowly, looking up at donghyuck.
"what?" the boy nodded, grabbing the girls hands, interlacing them with his.
"choi hyein, i really love you. it took me awhile to realize it, but i am, and always have been, in love with you."
hyein was taken aback. she didn't know what to say, how to react. the boy she'd liked since 7th grade was suddenly confessing to her, saying how much he loved her.
"are you serious? no jokes?" she could barely carry out a sentence, her nervousness making donghyuck chuckle lightly.
"yes. no jokes. no pranks. nothing. choi hyein i love you. so much." donghyuck pulled the girl in a hug, hyein slowly wrapping her arms around his body.
they stood like that for awhile, the park being empty with no one around late at night. this was their park, the park where everything goes down.
where their future began, "i love you too, donghyuck."
