  "G go finish the dive, David and Lucy go with her as backup. Get the job done and do it quick!" She ordered giving an end to the conversation.

  The three of you make your way to the room Tanaka was in, knocked out cold, leaving perfectly vulnerable to snoop.

  As you started getting ready for the dive, you could hear David and Lucy arguing, but you didn't bother to pay attention to what they were bickering about, after all this mission was on high alert and time sensitive.

  Once David connected you, Lucy set you up on the dive, both still going back and forth while you tried to focus, and you felt yourself going in.

  Once you were finally in, you could no longer hear them, so you started searching. Thankfully it don't take long for you to find the jackpot, so you quickly downloaded the data, but something seemed off.

  Your surroundings lagged a bit, and you could sense the host had woken up, but since he was so beaten he could barely keep himself awake, only enough to talk, but not enough to fully cut the link so you kept going on hopes Lucy and David would take care of it.

  As the files kept on downloading, you looked over them, mostly being ex-military files on deceased soldiers that had severe cyberpsychosis, witch confused you.

  They all seemed like experiments that Arasaka did, and on one of the files showed the previous owner of the Sandavistan that David had, you looked it over, noticing the file next to it was David's.

  "So Arasaka knows David's the new Sandavistan user" you thought to yourself. That's when it clicked, they were probably after David to make him their new lab rat and stuff him with tech until he wouldn't be able to handle it anymore. At least Thats what you could tell happened from the previous files.

  Suddenly your body felt stiff, like you had been forced to freeze in place, and right after you felt the connection being lost and you head gear restarting.

   In the meantime, the trauma alert on Tanaka's drive was set off and police was on their way. Lucy a David took you to the car while Dorio and Maine stayed back to deal with the evidence.

  Once you were placed in the car, their arguing had woken you up.

  "You good G?" Lucy looked at the back seat where you sat still panicking but at least checking to see if that interference during the dive messes you up in the head, after all sudden disconnection in a neuro implant could cause some serious side effects.

  "Yeah just give me a run down of what happened while I was out" you say dressing yourself while trying to keep up with everything.

  "Tanaka flat lined but we rezed him, Maine and Dorio are still up there with him, not sure what their plan is but we gotta go help them." David said opening up the door to leave but Lucy grabbed him.

  "Hey let go, you two can stay here in the mean time" he said like it was nothing.

  "Don't! The police are already here" you say, you picked up some frequency outside, noticing a few other people where arriving at the scene and also detecting a rescue vehicle outside.

  "Fuck his trauma alert must have started working again" Lucy said also picking up on the two signals.

  You and Lucy looked at each other thinking the same thing: they're surrounded.

  David didn't listen though, you both just heard the sound of the door opening, and within a second David was gone.

  "I'm heading there too!" You say, putting your translocator in hand figuring the fastest way to get there is throwing it through a window on the floor they were on.

  "Come on G I though you were smarter than that!" Lucy said grabbing onto you so you wouldn't leave.

  "Don't worry I don't plan on fighting, I'm not as dumb as him, we are fucked either way. I... I just need to know what's going down" you say leaving the car and making your way to them surprisingly faster than David.

  Once you found everyone, you immediately turned on your ghost wear, feeling your heart pound against your chest once seeing Maine fully out of it, shooting everything and everyone around him.

  It broke your heart, even if you wanted you couldn't do anything about it, he was already too far gone, and the cops just kept on coming in, some would think that you were being a coward, not helping, but there was nothing to help. The only possible solution they could maybe attempt is just getting away. But the chances of success were still very low.

  That's when he shot a her. Your eyes widened seeing Dorio falling to the ground. That's when you realized there was nothing left to save. You knew damn well Maine was beyond saving, and Dorio wouldn't give up on him, so you guessed it was fate.

  Once you came back to your senses, you figured David would be there in a bit, and you decided that if he was next to flat line, you didn't think you could handle seeing that, so you made your way to that same window, throwing you translocator to the ground floor, and once it was set you teleported, making your way to the garage to meet Lucy again.

  Once you opened the car door, there was only silence, she held her head between her knees while listening the radio signals from the trauma team outside, reporting a now cyberpsycho case, and the cliente now confirmed dead.

  She only heard the door opening and some shuffling in the back seat but she already knew it was you, none of you said anything, but you looked down, on the side of her seat you saw her extending her hand for you to hold.

  You both sat there in silence listening to the audio call, both paralyzed in shock.

  "David's not picking up" Lucy said.

  "I saw everything... he's gone Lucy... her too!" You say, with the scene you just witnessed still fresh in your mind.

  "Don't blame yourself, he was already gone the moment he knocked kiwi out, it was just a matter of time until it got worse" she tried to comfort you

  "I don't get why Dorio and David still tried though, once a cyberpsycho, there's no reversing it, yet they still went" you could hear quiet sniffles between her words. "Why are we still here? Shouldn't we make a run for it?" She asked already a accepting the worst.

  "I know but... David's still in there just... wait a few more minutes, he could still be alive, keep calling him" you say, trying to keep your hopes up despite hearing the explosions and shots firing.

  After a few minutes of Lucy still trying to call David, you both heard a large explosion, you both held you breaths, assuming the worst, not wanting to face reality quite yet, both of you not ready to say goodbye to your closest friends, that is until you hear the car door quickly opening and closing.

  The both of you looked to the passenger seat, relieved to see David, but eyes glossing over once noticing him hugging Maine's arm implants that he promised David.

  No one uttered a word, so Lucy turned the car on, and started leaving the place, making her way back to the hell hole you called home
